Mizunos iron wait time.

I just received an email yesterday that my new MP20 MMCs are arriving on Feb 15. I ordered them on Jan 1 so it’s been about 6 weeks wait time.

If you're ordering clubs made anywhere offshore be prepared to wait, be patient.  CUSTOMS has been incredibly far behind in clearing boxes for pickup and delivery.  It will improve soon, but exactly when is yet to be determined.  Staffing is a huge holdup.

Ordered JPX 921 Forged, KBS $-Taper 125 through my fitter on March 11th.  He said Mizuno was running 4 - 6 weeks, so I'm expecting no earlier than mid-April.  I'll update the thread when I receive some kind of update or delivery.  This is my first fitted iron set, so I'm anxious to have them in-hand.

I ordered mine through an independent club builder (not built by mizuno factory). Took 3 weeks to get them in hand.

I ordered Jpx921 Forged with KBS $-taper on 3/27 through Haggin Oaks.  They quoted me 6 weeks for delivery and to check-in week 4 for an update.  I will post when I receive them.

I just received a set of 921 forged last week and it took 6 weeks. I was originally quoted 5 weeks.

I also ordered a set of JPX921 Tours on 2/23 through my Head Professional. After not hearing anything for 4 weeks, we decided to call Mizuno directly. They told us, like someone else had mentioned, that my grips were delaying the shipping of the clubs. 

 

I play with a Tour Velvet Standard which is the most common grip in golf, so I’m not sure how that warrants a delay in shipping. But luckily we received an invoice for the clubs yesterday; a telling sign that they’ll be arriving in the next couple of days.

are you UK or US based? I think most guys on here would have whatever grips were in the factory to get their new clubs sooner!

I am just outside Philadelphia. Our Mizuno Rep did mention the California ports are a mess at the moment, which I understand. But to then tell me it was a complication with grips, my head was spinning. 

 

And I agree with you, I would have taken the stock grip if it meant a faster shipment. Or even loose grips set aside in the box.

Update: I received my clubs yesterday.

I'm located in Canada, but I ordered a set of 921 forged 10 days ago, received a call from the fitter about a week after saying the grips I ordered (MCC+4 tour velvets) was back ordered until mid June!

If you're in the US that shouldn't cause a delay, other than the container shortage it may have exacerbated.  Anything shipped to the US from Asia will come across the Pacific.

Ordered 921 forged on 2/3 and they shipped out today. I had called at one point about a week ago and just the grips (GP Tour Velvets) were holding up the order. Changed grips and they shipped within a few days.

I ordered on 3/22...4-GW JPX921 HM Pro irons.  Haven't received a shipping notification. Hoping something in early May. I'll post here once they've shipped to give others an indication of wait time.

If you are waiting for Nippon shafts then be prepared for a long wait.

Ordered a set of 921 Forged Nippon Modus 120X stock Mizuno branded grip unattached (hoping that would save time) on March 20th.  Was quoted 6 weeks...3 weeks to go.  Fingers crossed.
