I haven’t hit the Max LS yet.  I love my Epic Flash TD also.  I actually owned and played a Mavrik TD along with my EF TD this past season.  I ended up selling my Mav TD.  It sounded and felt better than my EF TD and was maybe a little more forgiving, but the EF TD was an easy 10-15 yds longer.  No idea why- lower spin maybe.  I’ll probably wait and pick up a TD version if they decide to release it later on.  Regardless, I’m loving my TSi3 right now- best looking driver on market right now (imo) and a total beast.

Hookasaurus, did you sell your X-Torsion Copper 60TX that you loved with that driver? I hope you kept it with the EF. It's the best shaft I've ever played, ever.

So it took the supercomputer about 4 years to find out that 4 bars are stronger than two? Amazing.

What really intrigues me is the choice of the shaft, the Mitsubishi MMT.

Please keep the head and let's try the shaft for a test run.

How about you hit it first before knocking it?

I spent an hour with LS today, and the feel and sound are spectacular.

Wasn’t the right shaft for me as it was an old Rogue, but when the cart comes in the only thing I will do is put it against the TSI3

It will be their best performing driver in years.

I kept it- it’s not going anywhere! That is my shaft of choice in the EFTD.  It’s definitely one of my favorite shafts ever- absolutely the best counterbalanced I’ve used.

In their defense, they were using Microsoft machine learning which is trash.  Had they been using Google AI/ML - everyone would have 20 more yards and the heads wouldn't look like they're sponsored by Monster Energy and powered by X Box.

@callawaygolf

Why, would the 4 Wood, in the Speed Fairway Line, be the largest Head (CC Volume)?

Bigger than 3+ and 3 Wood Heads, respectively. Albeit a narrow difference.

But the 4 Wood, ultimately, shouldn't be larger than 3+ and 3.

A 4 Wood, in size, should fall in between a 3 Wood and 5 Wood.

Love to know more behind the thought process here.

Just spit balling here, but someone who uses a 4 wood probably isn't using a 3 wood also, so comparing those may not make sense.  One person might go 3 wood/5 wood and another might go 4 wood/7 wood.  In which case the relation of the two is important but not the 3 to the 4.  Also,  someone using a 4 wood might fall into the camp of wanting a more confidence inspiring head that that of a 3+ wood user.

I can grasp that. I would understand that. Would love to have @callawaygolf verify that.

You do realize 2 cc is like next to nothing when distributed around the clubhead?

LS sounds like it will be great but the shape really throws me off.

The head shape issue will fade if you hit it well. I like the way the face sets up behind the ball.

It could be a typo and actually be 165 - which is between 173 and 154.

Borrowed the speed ls demo today.  9 degree with smoke 6.0 shaft.  Typically, I am a very straight driver of the ball, prefer just a small cut to keep it controllable. Driver speed is around 97-100 and I’m a one handicap. For what that’s worth…I game a SIM Max with a diamana TB.

Very neutral flight, 13 of 14 fairways.  Driver wants to go straight.  Sound reminds me of the Titleist TSI series...def not epic flash sound.  Louder than SIM.

I like a driver that eliminates left, and the cally did that.  Face looks very square at address...Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve played twist face for quite some time, but it’s nice to look down at a face that is almost flat. Could not see the emblem on the face at address, so it was not a distraction.  Looking forward to hearing others perspective.  Not a huge fan of the greenish flake in the crown paint, but not a deal breaker.  Need to hit it a few more times, but definitely in the discussion for next driver.

I tried the Epic lineup indoors (in NY so won’t be getting outside any time soon) and definitely preferred the sound and feel over my Sim Max. I get it’s subjective, but outdoors did you like the sound and feel more than your Sim Max? Thanks.

That's what I hope for.

I doubt it though; as the Mavrik standard 4W was 175, and the 3W was 174.

SIM sound and feel is one of my favorites, so wouldn’t say the new Epic is better.  But not a deal breaker like the EFSZ.

Hit them this weekend, and here’s my subjective rankings, heads were all set to as close to 10* as possible and Rogue White used for 3/5 heads and then RDX Black for the TSI3 and 2.0 SIM:

Performance
TSi3
Max LS
2.0 Standard
425 LST

425Max

Feel
Max LS
TSI3
425 LST

2.0 Standard

425Max

Sound
Max LS
TSI3
2.0 Standard
425 LST

425Max

Spin

Max LS
2.0 Standard
425 LST

425Max
TSI3

Will end up in a TSI3 to start the season and/or possible Max LS.

I am surprised TXG has not done a review on these yet.

I already ordered, so guess it doesn’t matter too much

Me too, especially after seeing how fast the TM one came out, and even the 425 content. I mean they put out Matt hitting right handed videos for the 425 immediately while they waited on Ping to get their act together and send them lefty gear. Super weird we haven’t seen anything on these Callaway clubs yet. Maybe they are hard at work on a really in-depth review.

They said on Monday’s live they missed the delivery on Friday but were expecting the clubs to arrive yesterday (Monday). They had a plan to get the videos out asap once the heads arrive.
