How close was the SIM2 on the monitor for you?

Monitor wise, it wasn’t too far off, but feel wise I didn’t really get along with the SIM2.  Actually like the feel of my SIM better, as well as and the sound.

I demoed the Max LS and the IM10 last weekend. Similar launch conditions to my current setup (410LST, Ventus Blue Velo 6s) but straighter. Shaft was more active but launch and spin didn’t tick up. Moved my dispersion from center-right to pretty close to center. Big fan of this combo and want to keep testing it.

Thanks arenapoutine, I appreciate your feedback, especially since there is not a lot out there on this. So thanks all for posting about it and may God bless you all

Had a chance to test these things today... and unfortunately I was reminded why I haven’t played a Callaway driver since the X2Hot. I also see why NONE of the tour pros are playing any of these heads.

Lots of Tour players are using the standard Speed head and Max LS. So far, the tests I’ve seen Callaway is more than holding its own.

Which tour guys are not using a TD or some other proto version?

Regardless, all I can speak to is my experience during my fitting. The shapes, which yes are a very subjective detail, were not remotely appealing to my eye. This has been the case for years for Callaway for me personally. But I always give them a run in the fitting just to see how they fair because I can get past looks if it performs. I don’t care if a club has rainbows and unicorns on the crown and sole if I hit it well and it has good numbers. The spin was not great with the speed and I couldn’t hold my line with the LS. Both “looked” very draw biased, and the results were unanimously left. Again for me personally, none of these heads would be in the top 5 of this years releases.

Look at the Monday Qualifying pic for WMO, there’s several guys using Speed and LS. Several LPGA gals are in the Speed.

Well I’m man enough to admit I should retract the all caps “NONE” and replace it with “majority” haha. Regardless, you just don’t see many PGA staffers, particularly high speed guys, with any of these heads. I get that it’s not uncommon for these guys to be slow to put the new drivers or clubs into the bag sometimes, however, for callaway to release THREE heads, none of which are the predominant club in play on tour and all of which, in my opinion, miss the boat for high speed players just seems like a miss. I get I’m biased, and they will maintain plenty of market share and the world will keep on spinning. I was just excited that there might be a callaway driver that fits the bill for me and I couldn’t have disliked them more haha.

LOL you must be out of touch with what the pros are using...bunch of guys playing them that can clearly be seen on TV... go look at Xander and Rahm WITB to name a few.

I’m out of touch...? Hardly ANY of their staffers are not using some sort of proto or TD. Preciate ya though.

And lastly, before I ride off into the sunset to not detract from this thread anymore... if a Callaway head is a Callaway head to you, then WRXer you are not.

OG Epic was ok for feel and great for playability. Sound was shite

These are equivalent of the Mavrik in terms of sound and feel

Anyone know if prior model track weights will fit in the new Epic LS?  Curious if I can get sliding weights already available or if I have to go out of my way to get ones specific to this release.

Earlier in the thread, I believe someone said they will not fit; but the weights would be available in March.
