G425 delivery times

I'm still waiting on my LH Power Spec with Alta shaft irons. Submitted to Ping on 3/22, I was originally quoted 4 weeks. Got extended to somewhere between May 1-7. Since today is the 7th I'll call the shop later and ask for an update.

And latest update. they are now running low on the stock Alta graphite iron shafts but have scheduled deliveries arriving today and again early next week. My irons should hopefully ship by this time next week.

I just got the call today that my G425 irons came into the shop and are ready to pick up.  Ordered on 3/19.  Nothing fancy 2 deg upright with Alta graphite shafts and NDMC grips. Originally quoted 4 weeks and it turned out to be about 7

Another data point. In Canada

 

g425 max driver digitally lofted at 8.5 degree with Ping Tour 75 X shaft and GP tour velvet grip

 

shop ordered on April 28th via local shop. Got email this morning that driver was shipped out on May 5th and should arrive by tomorrow.

 

pro shop advised me that Tensei AV Raw shaft would take up to 10 weeks so I just went with Tour 75 (I’ll be putting my Ventus blue in this)

 

g425 max 3 wood and hybrid have estimated ship date for June 1 ( order date April 2nd). These were ordered with Tensei Shafts

I was quoted the same of June 1st for my woods with tensi orange shaft. 

My driver is 16weeks my fitter hooked me up with a setup for the summer.

Ordered G425 irons, hybrids and a G425 MAX 5 wood, all with the Alta Distanza shaft. Told 3-4 weeks by the (optimistic) retailer.

As i posted above, i picked up my G425 Max Driver this week. When i spoke to the pro shop, they mentioned that i might have lucked out with such a quick turnaround because of the type of order. I had asked Ping to send me a digitally lofted driver (at 8.5) and that might have helped with the quick turnaround.

Finally getting my G425 Max 10.5* with Aldila Rogue White tomorrow - I ordered in February. I'm in Quebec, Canada for context. Pretty wild how long this took, just happy I'm finally going to have it though.

It took 7 weeks and one day but my G425 irons and Glide 3.0 wedges arrived yesterday.  27 holes in and they were definitely worth the wait 😀  I was quoted 4-5 weeks on the irons and 6-7 weeks on the wedges.  Red dot/UST Recoil 95 shafts/ + 1/4"/ MCC Plus 4 Green grips on the irons.  Hope everyone who is waiting gets their sticks very soon!

Going on 9 weeks now for Alta stock graphite irons and I finally got word they are in production. Hopefully by this time next week they are in my hands.

I was fit into a stock G425 LST 9° with Tensei AV Orange X flex (stock) on April 1. I asked for an update yesterday and was told, "looks like it will be here next week." 

 

I'm not holding my breath that it will actually be here next week.

I got fit in March for the same thing and they told me 16weeks in April maybe things are coming together quicker than expected.  That would be great. I was told June 1 for my 5wood 7wood Tensei AV Orange X flex. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'm playing with a buddy today who is now in his 11th week waiting for his set of G425 irons.  Nothing special about them; 1* flat, stock Alta graphite shafts senior flex.  He was told on Friday that they are boxed up and would ship on today.  He was originally told 3-4 weeks, then amended to 6, then they stopped guessing.

That is crazy.  I am putting in an order early this week, and if I hit even 8 weeks, I will be very annoyed.  They are telling customers in the ballpark of 6 weeks, which would be fine, and even a couple of weeks after that.  I'd still have the irons in mid-July and get a few months in with them this season.  But 11 weeks is just nuts (yes, I know crazy times...).

Really similar to me and I was told they were actually having a shortage on the Alta shafts (mine is R flex blue dot + 1/2") but had everything else in stock. I was given 4 weeks originally, then another 3 was added. When that 3 was up I reached out again for the status update to be told it was the Alta shaft but deliveries were due that day and over the coming days. I checked back a week later this past Friday and was told from the store's B2B site that my status was 'in production' so really hope that means mine will arrive by this weekend. If that is the case I'm at 9 weeks on a LH power spec set.

Just spoke with my retailer again as we are now at 8 weeks from order date. They said PING is now saying that the Tour65 X shaft and LH 9* LST head are both back ordered until early June. It appears I will be lucky to see the club within 12 weeks of order when I was quoted 4-5. I understand the industry is in an unprecedented time but it’s a little frustrating to be strung along week by week.

That sound you just heard was me hanging up the phone ordering RH 10.5* LST with Tour65X shaft. That other sound you heard was me banging my head on the wall after reading this post directly after hanging up the phone. Was told 6/8 weeks but fingers crossed.

I'm glad to have gotten mine in 7 weeks after the original 3-4 week estimate. Stock Alta R flex shaft, white dot, GP MCC ND grips.  The dealer who I placed them through says they are not even telling people lead times because it has gotten so crazy.  They said Ping is definitely having the hardest time out of all the manufacturers they rep.....which is most of the the big ones.

well, I ordered mine in March, but still don't have them. I called Ping yesterday and the rep said more than likely my clubs are done, but holding and waiting on grips from Golf Pride. I ordered Tour Velvet +4 and he said a lot of their is a shortage on some of the high end grips like those and MCC +4 from Golf Pride bcuz there is a rubber shortage. He said said it could still be close to 2 months before they get them. He also said, if I wanted regular standard grips, like regular Tour Velvets, it would be quicker.

Most dealers are being informed of delays due to grips and given the option to change.  I would def have them call Ping to verify if it is a grip issue or not.

My irons finally shipped. Now I just have to wait almost a week for them because they seem to use carrier pigeons to deliver them from AZ to OH.

Just got word from my fitter. Tensi orange shaft x flex will be in stock mid June should see my clubs about July. Mitsubishi is having a tough time with the Covid and production. I am sure it will be worth the wait

FYI I ordered ping G425 irons 5-pw  AWT yesterday from a major national online seller.  They shipped today and should arrive Monday.

 

The catch is my fitting measures absolutely average.  Black, aWT shaft, stiff.
