G425 delivery times

I was at a Ping fitting today where one of my playing partners was testing a 425 driver. he was also testing an Epic Speed driver. They were about a tie for him so he asked about delivery. Ping was minimum 6 weeks. Callaway 1 week. Guess which one is going in the bag?

One more data point.  Ordered on 4/10 G425 irons standard length, blue dot, tour velvet grips.  Arrived today.  They substituted Lamskin grips which seem fine.

If you check out Golf Pride's web site there're out of everything. This is a major reason why Ping is having a problem with production of their clubs.

Order placed 4-18-21……it is now going on 8 weeks. (June 8,2021). Can’t get a status update. Don’t know when they will get here. Sold my Ping 25’s back end of April 2021, based on 3-5 weeks delivery time.  Wish I hadn’t sold my G25’s …….terrible.

Yes they will. Special instructions are “No Grips”

I know they'll send them without the grips installed, most manufacturers do - so it makes sense they'd send them without grips if you ask. Check with the retailer you're buying through, and have them inquire to PING as to your request. ... At worst, it doesn't help asking.

I order most of my stuff from PING without grips.  I still have them throw the grips in the box loose so I can resell them.

Ordered 3/9 ...5-U told by Ping last week Mid to Late June.

The Recoil Smac wrap Shafts are the issue.

Got an update yesterday from PING.

Shafts have come in (Recoil F3 Smac wrap) , Assembling my order.... will ship within next 5-7 days.

12 weeks today on a stock 7w (Alta CB Slate 70s with TV 360) and 5H.  My dealer says he can’t get a response from Ping on ship date either.

I know this isn't a G425, but its a Ping product. I ordered a Ping 2021 Fetch with the adjustable shaft on May 23, and received it today June 8th. The only problem is they didn't include the adjustment tool.

Just curious- if you ordered stock clubs, why not just buy them from a Dicks/PGASS/type store?

Here is a new data point from Portland, Oregon. Ordered 5/2 from major golf center. I can’t wait to get them.

Curious what everyone thinks. It is my first fitting and real set so any input would be cool! Upgrading from my old Ping i10’s.

ALL LEFT HANDED

Ping G425 4-PW, UW - Project X 6.5x shaft green +2 lie and midsize ping stock grip for all.
G425 Max Driver, 5 wood and SW - Tour 173 75x shaft
G425 Hybrid 4 - Tour 173 85x
Ping Glide 3.0 (54 and 58 degrees) – D6 shaft? I think it is stock.

Quoted 8-12 weeks but it sounded like they are expecting it closer to the 8 weeks.

 

Update: Received a call last week from my rep and he said they just got off a conference call with Ping reps and basically my Driver, 7 Wood and Hybrid delivery estimate was pushed back to July and my irons and glide wedges would probably be more like August...

Then today I randomly got another call from my rep and he said my Driver, 7 Wood and Hybrid are all shipping today and should be here early next week. 

 

I'm only speculating, but I'm assuming my irons and wedges shouldn't be too far behind my driver/wood/hybrid. 
There isn't much great news on here regarding the G425's but I figured maybe this would be a glimpse of hope for others waiting. That would be my Driver/Wood/Hybrid shipped in 5 weeks vs the 8-12 week estimate. 

 

I'll update again when I get more info and details!

Just got a shipping notification on my Red dot G425 irons with TT Elevate shafts. Ordered 4/8, shipped 6/8 but they can’t ship the 7 iron for a couple more weeks because it’s not ready yet 🤪

You're the second person I've seen getting clubs with no 7 iron.  Is this because every fitting rep has a James Bond suitcase with 46 7iron heads in it?  My order was on 4/18 I'm hopeful to hear some word soon.

The tool tip is the same as all other metalwoods adjustment wrench.

I place my order on 4/15 for a 425 max driver, 5 wood, i210 5-p and 54 and 58 glide 3.0 wedges. I got the 5 wood last week and just received the irons and wedges yesterday. I was told that the driver should be next week.

Mine were pretty basic. Black dot, project X shafts with arcos grips. I did order them with a swingweight of D4. The rumor is that if you order your set with arcos grips you will get them quicker.

On the phone with a company and ordered a g425 Max driver yesterday around 4pm, got it today! 👍

Did you get any notification that it was being delivered? I ordered Ping i210 Red dot standard length PZ 6.0 5-W.  I ordered 4/16.

Ordered 3/29 - G425 5-PW Recoil Smacwrap F3, plus 3/4" Red Dot, 425 5 wood, 7 wood and 4 hybrid all standard length Tour shaft in regular flex.

 

All standard Ping grips loose in box.

 

Received Monday 7 June.

5-U red dots

nippon modus 105

stiff

GP mcc plus 4 grips

 

got an email yesterday that they’ve moved the expected ship date (4th time) to 6/30

 

im gonna have to get fitted again…lol!
