G425 delivery times

First, what happened to you is not cool, especially the response.

 

Just guessing, but having read that Ping has been working OT to fill orders including people not normally assigned to the line, it wouldn't surprise me if you got one of those.   Maybe from a member of the Solheim family!

 

As for repair, it's possible that is the fastest way for them to get the club back to you vs the longer wait of a replacement.   But you paid for a new club, it should look new, period.

I just ordered a 425 SFT with Tensei AV Orange Regular shaft (65g) and they told me 3 to 6 weeks. Kind of a broad time range but, they said PING was backordered somewhat.

I ordered two stock g425 hybrids today and was told 4 weeks.  Stock clubs people!!!

Don't know the validity of this but, the guy at the shop where I purchased told me PING had lost a shipment in a cargo container that went into the ocean. Maybe that is part of the problem? Plus, golf club demand is very high. I have heard from two different shops that Golf Pride is going to run out of grips soon.

Wow sorry to hear of the delays for so many members.

 

I ordered G425 irons 5-UW +0.5”, 2* up, PX LZ 6.5 on 2/2 and G425 Max driver 10.5*, Ventus Blue 7X on 2/5, midsize tour velvet 360 grips on all.  Received both orders 2/25 in perfect shape and exactly as specified, including swing weight on irons.

Ordered my G425 irons 9 days ago, they were delivered today! 

 

I live in Norway, so I thought it should it take longer than that.

Pretty custom (stock shafts and green dot), so maybe PING Europe had them in stock?

I placed an order for a 3 wood with Tensei Orange shaft on the 23rd of February and told 4-6 weeks due to shaft supply. My G400 3 wood still has a spot in

the bag for now 🙂

I ordered 425 irons 5-gw graphite regular flex, +.5 and 2 up with midsize grips on 1-28.   Was told 3-18 for an ETA.

 

I ordered a g425 hybrid and a crossover a few days after the irons.  The hybrid showed up yesterday.

Ordered through maple hill and stock shafts.

My G425 Max driver finally arrived and get to test it on it's maiden voyage today.  Hit the range yesterday and even with the 3 grams of hotmelt added by Ping, it's quite loud still.  Hopefully it will sound better with real golf balls on the course.  I can say however, that if the range session is any indication, it just wants to go straight.

FYI:  Just got email from my guy that ordered my 425 lst fairway back in Feb that the holdup for me is the Aldila Rogue white and is 4 more months.....80x, not sure about the other weights.

The order wasn't too "custom"; A 12 degree G425 Max driver with standard specs, a 5-wood with a 3-wood length shaft, a 7-wood with a 5-wood length shaft. All three with Tensei Orange regular flex shafts.

 

Hoping the rumors of the delays are no longer true. Looking forward to lowering the lofts on the fairways to open the face and hit straighter shots....

Received driver today, still waiting on fairways....tmw is going to be great!

Still waiting on a G425 LST that was preordered back in January... had multiple correspondence with PING at this point.  Back on Feb 5th, ship date was Feb 10...on Feb 17th, was told the shaft was coming in the following day and club would ship the next week.  March 4th, the shaft was now coming in 1-2 weeks so I changed the shaft on March 4th to one "in-stock".  Was told it would go to production immediately and ship that day or the next.  Finally, March 15th, told club is "in production" and will ship out in 1-2 days.  I really don't care about the delays, just wish I would be getting good information from the source on this.  Still love PING, just getting frustrated on this one!

If Ping has to build it, everything is a custom order. I believe the term in reference to "stock" is for shops ordering clubs to sit on their shelves for walk in buyers. Ping would be placing priority on clubs already paid for versus ones not sold yet to sit on shelves.

I was told Friday that Ping has removed the Tensei Orange shaft off of the option list because the wait time for that shaft is considerable; no idea why the other stock options would take longer than custom.

My club who ordered the club for me said they had also received a notice from Ping that the bottle neck was the shafts.

 

I ordered the driver and fairways at the same time and only the driver has arrived, so I infer that the fairway shafts (Tensei Orange) may be one of the components contributing to the delays.

 

While we don't have many big box golf retailers in the area, last time I visited, they seemed to have lots of G425 stock (with stock configurations).

 

FWIW, the driver is fantastic.
