njlam, same experience here.  I ordered a crossover and a hybrid from the same place at the same time.  The hybrid is here.  The crossover is still pending.  Ordered on 2-4.

The irons I ordered on 1-28 were supposed to ship on 3-18, but did not.  I'm trying to get a new estimate to see if I want to keep hanging in there waiting for them or cancel and get a different brand.

my 2nd fairway arrived today.

So I received three clubs (all ordered on the same day 2/24) one on 3/20, one on 3/22 and the last one today (3/23).

Happy to have them, but if they sent all three of them at the same time, it would have been okay.

All the clubs had MR Tensei Orange shafts which I hear may be the bottleneck for Ping.

The G425s are a huge improvement. The driver replaced a Ping Rapture and the fairways replaced Ping G25s. While I am getting marginally more distance, the dispersion is much tighter.

The G425s are louder...but in a good way.

I ordered a 425 LST 9* with Tour 65 Stiff shaft (no arcos) at 45.5" on 3/8 through my local retailer.  I was told it would be about 4 to 6 weeks, but of course I'm getting antsy...  I emailed Ping but no reply yet.   Any idea if Ping is still 4 to 6 weeks out with delivering a stock club?

Thanks  Rod

Here's an update I received today from WWGS on my custom order (Ping G425LST 9° Tensei Orange AV Raw 65)

Quote

Ping got back to me but to let know me that they are completely out of every single shaft ever, except their own, there is the Alta driver shaft and the Ping Tour shaft we could use to replace the Mitsubishi Tensei orange.  Or we can wait for them to get the Mitsubishi in stock.  As of today Ping has no estimated ship date of when they will get their stock replenished.  If you want to switch to the Ping Tour Shaft, it would ship in about a week or so.  Let me know your thoughts and sorry for the inconvenience.

I liked the line, "they are completely out of every single shaft ever" 🤣

my local shop had a 425 lst come in with the rogue shaft (my order will be another 2.5 weeks).  They called and asked if I wanted the club or the head.  I dropped by and picked up the club and when I got home i swapped out the shaft to a Ventus.  Can't wait to hit it!!!

Oh, I did notice that the LST came with a 25 gram weight in the back instead of the 17 😕   Looks like another trip to the store to swap out the head weight for what should have been in there

your order isn't stock. 45.25" and arccos velvet grip is their stock setup.  what you ordered would be custom.  which are taking at least 4 to 6 weeks.  Stock orders are actually taking longer.

Ordered a custom G425 fairway wood from TGW and got it in about three weeks.

Ordered another one from Golf Galaxy and I haven't heard a thing and it's been 5 weeks.

Both were G425 fairway woods with Tour 75 shafts.

I just ordered a 425 SFT with Tensei AV Orange Regular shaft (65g) and they told me 3 to 6 weeks. Kind of a broad time range but, they said PING was backordered somewhat.

I just received my new driver this evening. Ordered on 3/4 and receive on 3/26. I checked two weeks ago and was told it would ship on 3/30.  So, they were early.  Tee time tomorrow afternoon. I am excited.

As explained earlier in the thread that sheet that shows “stock” lead time and “custom” lead time is being misunderstood by many.

Stock is being referred to as a club or clubs that are for the store or pro shop shelf. Unsold to consumer.

Customer is a club or clubs ordered for a specific customer.

IT DOES NOT refer to the club build itself. You can order a club with stock specs and it is a “custom” order to Ping-and other manufacturers.

They are all trying to satisfy orders for items that are already sold to the consumer first and foremost.

Ordered a LST with Ventus Blue 6x on 2-13. Checked in on it this week and was told the hold up was the grip, a midsize mcc. Told them to ship with a stock grip not put on and they said it will ship in a week. I have my fingers crossed.

Hope you told them the non arccos grip or the club will be a 1/4 in short if you swap into a non arccos grip.  The stock grip includes arccos.

Was told the irons I ordered on 1-28 are now expected to ship on 4-8.  We'll see.  I hope they do as I am missing opportunities to play now with the weather breaking and not having irons.  I could borrow a set from a friend but hate to be that guy.

My order was for graphite (Ping Alta CB regular flex), +.5 inch, green dot,  with mid size grips.  If it is the grips holding things up, I would have settled for any midsize option but was not told that grips were the problem.

If there is another delay, I'll likely get a different brand.

I hadn't heard from Ping or WWGS since my last update, but I just received a notification directly from FedEx that says a package from Ping HQ is headed to me for a March 31 scheduled delivery.

My original custom order for a G424LST was placed on Feb 17th through WWGS.  On March 24th, WWGS relayed to me an update from Ping that they were out of Tensei Orange AV Raw shafts.  They mentioned that they did have Alta R and Tour65 R shafts ready to ship, though, so I changed my order to the Tour65 R (I already have another shaft at home that I'll be using instead).

I placed an order for a G425 Driver, 3-wood and 5-wood on February 2nd. I was fit for the Rogue White in X-stiff for all clubs. The driver was ordered with a 70 gram shaft and the two fairways were ordered with 80 gram shafts. I was told it would be a 3-4 week wait time, I was in the room when my fitter ordered the clubs and I know this is what we were quoted. The driver showed up after about 6 weeks, which is inconvenient but not the end of the world. That brings me to today, I called Ping and told them the situation. They assured me on my last call that I would have my clubs in hand no later than April 16th, well today they told me that It will be at minimum two more months until my clubs ship. Ping is offering no compromise in any way and basically told me to take it or leave it.. Ping used to be a great company and I know that sourcing shafts is tricky in today's time but there are alternatives to just telling me to take it or leave it. Really frustrated by their lack of customer service.

FWIW, I spoke directly with a source within the Ping repair department and the Rogue White 80x is out of stock until May 15th.  How long it takes to build after they receive the shafts would be a guess at this point.

Maybe they believe you will be happiest in the long run waiting for exactly what you were fit for rather than suggesting something “similar” ?
You can either wait for the best fit for you or call them and ask what will perform almost as good for you and get it now.

It is difficult on us waiting for clubs but the manufacturers are having extreme difficulty in getting components.

Lack of customer service? They are experiencing a generational shortage due to circumstances way out of their control and you want them to bend over backwards for you? Let not act like they messed up your order or are purposely misleading you and owe you a solid. If they had something comparable to offer you, they surely would. They don’t like the delays as much as you do and this is coming from a guy we waited 6 weeks for his 425 hybrid.
