After a few discussions, I decided to give a go with Chuck protege for now.  I will give an update on how it went in a month or so - after i have improved or given up the game😂.

Craig Waryan out of the bird academy is awesome. Worked with him since my college days. He winters in Phoenix.    Coaches anyone from high handicaps to elite amateurs and professionals.

Jeremy has a few things he likes to see but there is a range for them as is with most good teachers.  He doesn't teach 1 particular style like a Hank Haney or something like that.  He works with a lot

Has anyone worked with Martin Chuck or any of his proteges out at Raven?  Feedback?

Looking for recommendation on a golf coach.  Have tried a few in Scottsdale (unnamed), previously recommended, who provided a horrible experience beyond belief.

Thanks

Good luck I could probably guess the Scottsdale guys

I thought about the Monte clinic - but need someone 1:1 to help me. 🙂  😞

Hmm...never heard of Jeremy - does he try to change you to a style or work with what you have?

Works with what you have and really focuses/has worked hard on knowing how to coach different learning styles. Fun and enjoyable guy to be around too. Couldn’t be a better person.

Jeremy has a few things he likes to see but there is a range for them as is with most good teachers.  He doesn't teach 1 particular style like a Hank Haney or something like that.  He works with a lot of really good players though.  Monte did a interview with him a while back during quarantine that gives some good insight.

Wanted to chime in with Jeremy as I have seen him for the past 6 months with 2 lessons per month.

I like his style a lot as he will explain a concept and will have you hit balls to understand, or to ask questions about the concept. Rather than an instructor going on about the "swing" or any aspects and wasting time in the lesson, he quickly talks about the concept and has you hit balls until you get a feel.

He also does a good job building you from the ground up. Example: I had a very shallowed off golf swing at the top then produced an outside-in downswing. Made sure I understood I needed to work on the backswing first, then transition, then can work on speed.
