Huh? “TX” usually denotes a tour stiffness...

Off the top of my head...

Ricky fowler C taper S+

shane lowry KBS Tour S+

JB Holmes S400

Paddy Harrington KBS Tour S+

Kevin Na
Brent Snedecker SteelFiber 110 S.

All use irons shafts designated as softer than “x flex” for their particular shaft of choice.

truly, I wasn’t asking this question to be a big swingin d**k, I’ve genuinely been looking for a tour player who plays softer than x flex in his metal woods for a couple years now.

Ok man I give.  This totally went the wrong way.  I have done plenty of fittings...usually...in their case a TX is stopping or preventing a miss.  It's simple logic really..if you can follow.  If you swing a driver 115 you probably won't put stiff in your irons.  Yes, RF hits s+ for example, but relatively heavy iron shafts for sure...makes a dif.

Shubhankar Sharma definitely had at least one stiff shaft in his woods during 2018, when he was at his highest OWGR at 64 or so.

Aaron Rai has a S flex driver shaft, and he won on the European Tour very recently, this past October at the Scottish Open.

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head and if I can remember any more, I'll share. 🙂

ahh. Interesting. Thank you! I know it’s an odd thing to look for, but it just left me curious.

I understand and agree that a vast majority of Tx driver shaft users will play x flex shafts in irons. For sure. I’ve done a grand total of zero fittings in my life, so you’ve got more experience.

What I might make as an observation is that players have started to treat their metal wood shafts differently than their iron shafts and differently than their wedges. If you just look at driver SS, Dustin playing a soft stepped X1 in his irons and a KBS Stiff in his wedges would be too soft, but he approaches those swings differently than his driver. JB Holmes is in a s400 and has been for years, with some serious club head speed. Rahm is in a Project X 6.5 and not 7.0.

I was referring to his speech in Korean language, I've been to Korea many times on business and have a reasonable understanding of Korean culture.

Loved browsing through the golf shops in Seoul to see the local brands and other stuff I would never see in Australia.

I wasn't taking a jab at you bro.  In no way was your comment offensive.

Rahm doesn't really have the ss nor does he flight his ball really high to fit into a PX 7.0 like Rory does.  6.5 is perfect for Jon.  As for JB he hits a really low ball which is why I suspect he plays S400.  He probably needs a little higher launch and spin.
