How's The Weather Where You LIve?

aloha b.

Recommended Posts

Mid-20's-Low30's in the morning and up to 45-50 in the warmest part of the day. I can play if the wind is out of the south or west. It gets pretty rough when it's over 15 mph out of the north. I've been able to play the past 5 days in a row but won't be able for the next couple days due to rain and fog. Ought to be better on Monday. And that'll be the pattern for the next 6 weeks or so. I've already turned in 16 scores for the year so I can't gripe about being rained/ sleeted out for a few days.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Cold and windy mid 20's with windchill between 5-15. Glad there's plenty of golf to watch

We're having usually warm weather in the NorCal bay area. The past several days we've had temperatures in the mid to high 70's and sunny. Today so far we're at 75 degrees at noon. Really nice weather to get in a round of golf if you can get a tee time.

Well, that didn't last too long now it's rained a little and temperatures back to a high in the 50's.

I’m thinking this thread should be added to the “Humble Brag” thread. It hasn’t been warmer than 15* in a week and today into tomorrow we’re getting between 12-18” of snow. Somehow it got worse than horrendous and you have windbreaker/umbrella still playable weather🤬

I'm in SW Ohio, where it's 21 degrees now and the high tomorrow is 18.  About an inch of snow on the ground, too.  Finally, I see no one on the local courses.  When the COVID restrictions were lifted, I've never seen the courses so crowded.  Before this latest snow, I've seen guys playing when it's in the mid-20's and the parking lot 1/3rd full.  In years past you'd only see a couple of die-hards at it.

Cold, and frequent precip in MD. Another 6-8 inches of snow expected this week and nightly lows below freezing. We also have the pleasure of hosting all the new variants of COVID, so getting one's fix at the simulators is somewhat risky.

Just holding out and staying occupied until people get healthy and the weather improves, then I'm gonna take like 2 weeks off to just play and turn my phone off.

South central mountains in New Mexico, at 7500' altitude....warmer than usual, much less rain or snow than usual. The is week low's in the 20's and highs in the upper 40's or so, 5% humidity, rather windy.  Without the wind it'd be perfect golf weather, but the nasty wind makes it a bit too chilly for me.

That's really cold although in NorCal we think that the 30's and 40's are really cold.

The coldest weather that I've ever been in was in the mid-west with temps at 35* and the wind blowing at ~25 mph so the wind chill factor was ~8* I think.

Also in NorCal (SF Bay Area). 1st off, I do feel like I’m humbly bragging when I post in this thread. (Feel I deserve it based on the cost of living here 😊 haha) Aloha’s post reminded me of the 1st time I went to the Mid West in the winter (Chicago). I was told to bring a heavy jacket. So I took the only jacket I had heavier than a zipper hoodie. I remember walking out of my hotel downtown, turning onto a street with the wind blowing down the street between all the high rises like a wind tunnel!, It cut through me like a knife! In my jeans and heavy (CA standards)  jacket I mine as well have been naked! Brrrrrr. I walked into a coffee shop and told the cashier I just got in from CA and it was in the 70s. (Honestly just making conversation, not rubbing it in) she looked at me like “FU”. Sarrreeee 🤷🏼‍♂️ I said I was surprised by just how cold it was and especially with the crazy wind. Then said “you must eventually get use to it huh?”  She looks at me and said “never”. 😆

So no freaking change here, glad to hear that it’s in the 70’s out there. I’m also really wishing that there was a sarcasm font that I could’ve finished that sentence with😡

Frigid here.  Heading for overnight lows of -18 Saturday and Sunday and daytime high of -7, lol.  I think we hit highs of 12 degrees by next Wednesday.
