Pushing my luck for putter dates if at all possible

Hi,

 

Some members have been very generous answering some queries that I have recently posted as I'm trying to ascertain the information about a number of putters that my late Father-in-Law had in his collection when he passed away recently. I've attached 4 more pictures and would be grateful for any year information or comments that I might find useful.

His collection is very pristine and has alot of value I think golfer or not it's your best interest to keep them in your closet in a dry environment and let the value continue it grow you might get caught in someone trying to say they aren't worth much and short you a couple hundred dollars.

The scotty Cameron's hold the highest value I would expect the 2.5 to have the highest figurein the group. I wouldnt take anything less than 400 for the Santa fe and laguna a piece. If it's not you on the bay someone has the tei3 2.5 for over 2k

Thanks for your reply @btyh I have a collection of 76 in total which include SC, Bettinardi, Ping, Odyssey, Nike, Ben Hogan & Gold's Factory - he was a very particular individual and had a good eye as well as being a good golfer.

 

It is a labour of love cataloguing them but a chore that has to be done unfortunately.

 

 I don't plan on letting any go until I have had the chance to research them as much as possible as I am not a golfer myself.

Save yourself the time of researching each and every one for it's ideal market value and just post them all on ebay with 7 day auction format.  Easy and you'll get market value minus ebay's 10-12% cut.

You are lucky to have fallen into this investment. True gems for sure. You'll get alot of attention if you posted his collection here with more pictures. You may have some one here who will personally message you a large amount for the putters if you need advice feel free to personally message to make sure you arnt getting short handed. But if you have room to keep them than do it. The value will only go up with these clubs

I live in the UK @Rory4Pres and not sure that I might not lose out if they all went to auction as I wouldn't know what reserve price to put. Thanks for your reply.

@sP1bOb  Most Cameron's you can get an idea of when they were made with the archives. Many have a 2-3 year window so an exact date isn't always possible.

The Santa Fe is 97-98

The Laguna is 98-99

The Newport 1.5 is anywhere between 2005-2007

 

I don't know enough about Pings but I think the ISOforce was somewhere in the mid to late 90s.

The two Pings are very nice - not super-rare or super-valuable but in mint condition and with its cover, the Scottsdale Anser remake (around 95-96, I think) is worth about £150-200 on a good day.

 

The Anser F (1998) is a bit more valuable. It is the original version with Ti pixels and was made by Ping's WRX department. (Later, less sought after versions were made with fewer pixels, and less premium materials).  It also has a low serial # which is not a bad thing.  They originally came with plain black leather/fur inlay covers and in a presentation box.  If you had those then £400 - but even without them, probably £300-£350.

No problem at all - please do post more of the collection as I am sure many of us would like to see them - personally I'm keen to see more Pings if there are any!

 

One last thing on the Anser F is that it's the model Chris diMarco used when he putted lights out and lost out so narrowly to Tiger at the '05 Masters (the one with THAT chip shot on #16).
