I saw an interview with Red Auerbach and he claimed the Russel actually had better stats against Chamberlain when both of them were on the court.  His claim was that Chamberlain's stats were inflated because he played the fourth quarter in the those games while Russel was on the bench enjoying another big win.  Obviously Auerbach may have been a bit biased but there may well be something to his claim.

Chamberlain was very articulate, you can see why he got 20,000.

That's a good video!  Bill Russell is one of the most intelligent athletes of all time maybe even number one.  Centers who went up against him were at a disadvantage right from the opening jump.  LOL well actually I would put Russell second only to Willie Mays...

Jack may have more records, won more majors. What he has done to the game of golf is tremendous. He certainly did move the needle. So did Palmer, Hogan, Snead, etc. 

 

But nobody does it like Tiger. All these young guns competing for millions each week. All coz of Tiger. Tiger is the needle.

Without Palmer and Nicklaus there would be no PGA Tour for Tiger to play on.

Fun fact, Jack and Arnie tried to plan a PGA Tour Coup that would've almost certainly derailed what the PGA Tour has become if they succeeded.

Different eras, each was the greatest of their time. That's all that can be said, imho.
