What is Your Favorite GolfWRX Thread?

As the title shares share your favorite thread from this site, it can be something you started, participated in, or just sat on the sidelines with your popcorn. This is mine...

 

 

For whatever reason I read this today, and could not help but laugh at it. This baby has it all for me...what are some of yours?

My personal fave is the Bandon Thread currently going strong in the courses forum.

Some weird, some funny, some actually a little frightening I can recall, but overall I continue to enjoy the favorite Tour photo thread of @Christosterone but a variety of threads about our dogs are right there as well, especially when I need a good smile.

There's too many. I don't want to link them because some eventually became mean spirited and i don't think there's use pulling those back up...i doubt the mods would want that 

 

Some that stand out:

1) The thread accusing Scratch Golf of lying about their metals they used. This thread was just off the rails. It included people doing privately funded metal tests , and an actual debate about whether a japanese forger was alive or dead. There has never been a more popcorn worthy thread

2) The thread in the 19th hole where the guy had a crush on his teacher. He was such an amazing sport in that thread. It was just mostly good natured ribbing of the guy, and featured some incredible womanizing tips from GolfWRX'ers. (including yours truly, who suggested she be kept in a well in his basement). He eventually posted numerous selfies of himself (trust me, it worked, it was great)

3) The pro golfer lookalike thread, eventually just completely owned by the dude that looked exactly like Michelle Wie

4) The Tiger cheating thread. Like the incident itself, this was a complete car crash. I think we probably lost 5 moderators to burnout LOL. 

5) The Matt Kuchar tipping thread. This was the thread that really brought GolfWRX into the modern internet era. I've never seen so much use of the term SJW, nor that much virtue signaling outside of twitter. 

6) Literally any thread about the 2nd CallaWRX or TMAG trips

 

For ones that i started, this was really fun. Essentially it was just people doing "criminal minds" style profiling of what type of golfer you were based on your clubs

I feel bad that i remember the terrible, fighting ones more than the others....but a couple others that i remember that were just awesome

 

Both of these are in the theme where the OP started a relatively normal thread and then just went immediately nuts when anyone questioned him

 

1) The 6yr old girl doing cartwheels thread: OP started a thread being upset that the man he was paired with brought his 6yr old daughter to the course who rode in the cart with him. I remember i was one of the first people to ask why he was so upset, he called me a communist and said i didn't understand freedom. It was one of the nicest things he would say on page 1  (most of the posts are now deleted if you can find that thread)

 

2) The guy who (apparently was a very good player and former euro mini tour guy) said that he taught mini tour players and his technique was having them use old equipment. And that his players would dominate the tour in a decade because they would all drive 400+ yards. I remember a few people questioned him , granted we did mock him a bit....but he went crazy. It was funny because i remember checking that guy's profile. He joined the site, started that one thread, insulted everyone ...and then left forever

I think JonesScott and paddy_2_iron were the same person. Thier trolling styles were world class.

I forgot about the great Scratch conspiracy.  There was some guy supposedly connected to TourSpec deep in the middle.  Jonesy drove one poster, no name, crazy.  He begged Jones to play; anywhere, anytime, just ShowTFU.  The teacher Jeff mentioned started out as Flopper, changed to another name, but kept Hans, the next BigThing on tour.  Cary Shoen sp? was always good for a fiery thread.

A number of years ago, a gentleman started a thread with photos of some tees he purchased on line. He wanted to know if they were real or counterfeit. Not sure if it is my favorite, but it was funny.

I still remember my post in that thread. I said something like "the best way to test them is to stick them in the ground, see if they hold up a ball, and see if you can hit the ball off of it"

The ones that standout from him are.  How do you turn pro? And any where he toured his playing a little. Or lack there of.
