Same here dude.  Don’t need to order it, but I just have to see it in person and in my specs.  Otherwise I’ll keep thinking about it.

Maybe in person the driver looks better. But if they wanted a contrast a flat black would have been fine.

I've been checking with the pxg rep weekly for when she'll get the fitting head. A course near 15 minutes from my house is where pxg has all their fitting stuff. I won't order a pxg putter blindly again. The blackjack should have been perfect with the plumber's neck...except the actual toe hang was nowhere near what their site showed. It may as well be face balanced.  Since the bat attack has a more forward center of gravity, it should have a bit more toe hang. But I'm going to wait to see it in person before ordering. Hopefully next week.

I saw a video that a site like golf.com had on that was introducing the new driver lineup with Brad Schweigert of PXG and the center section did look more silver than white.  He explained that it is carbon with vaporized aluminum, so that makes sense - it looks way better in the video

I was watching the LPGA today and saw Lydia Ko's putter - it must be one of the new ones.  I have never seen it before.  It is a mallet that is a half circle with a raised center section - like the two ball (with a raised center rectangle, with a single sight line), and it slopes down from the leading edge to the back section.

Hope when I go pickup my Proto 5 wood they will have Gen4 woods in. He said any day now.

That was my first reaction to the driver, but that was when I thought it was kind of bright white in color - after seeing the real silver in a video, I am fine with it and it has grown on me.  When I first saw the big X, I did not like that at all - I do not even notice it now - I really like the PXG designs - I have been a long time PING user so that is not surprising.

My fitter that knows me now believes he can get the ball speed up a little and little more launch in the Gen4. I’ll be going back for a fitting when he gets them. Have to see the crown is person before I judge. He said he likes it the crown. 
 

Oh and last fitting he said him and I are going to play Scottsdale National this summer. He played on the Nationwide Tour. Fun the play with a guy at that level.

Awesome. And that’s ready cool brother.  I got a couple 290+ with the Proto+ total distance today at Superstition Springs. 78 for me and a good first outing with the new SpiderX center shaft putter. Really looking forward to hitting the Gen4 driver for sure. Looks really sweet to me and will match my Tensei AV Raw really well (double aluminum vapor)!

There is an upgrade program for the Gen 4 stuff. As long as you ordered Gen 3 irons or Gen 2 or Proto woods, you'll be eligible. You'll receive a price discount. That's all I know so far.
