Any new offerings from Snell Golf this year ?

Dean has vaguely mentioned new product development, but covid made the R&D take a back seat, if I remember correctly. As he would say...let it develop.

Hopefully as they are definitely due. Hasn’t the Black been around 3 seasons now (2018) and the X (2019) 2 seasons?  Looking forward to some new balls.

I’m 47 years old, been scratch or better for 32 years. It boggles my mind how great most balls are. Nearly ever golf ball at the $20 per dozen price point I’ve played the last few years I would have killed for when I was younger. I would have traded every balata/ Tour Edition ball In my bag for a Callaway super soft

Do they need a new ball is really secondary, new product introductions keep a Company growing and on plan.  Is important to any investors.

 

We really don't need a new ProV1 every year , but it stimulates growth in the brand.

Yeah...just like all those new drivers we keep seeing coming out. Every one is so much longer. And, the money flies out of our wallets faster and faster. Physics. New products, for the most part, remind me of a saying in fishing. "That lure is designed to catch fishermen." That said, I'm excited when and if Snell puts out a new product.

I’m  58 and totally agree. With a decent strike a Titleist TruFeel will back up 8-10 feet, not many DT’s or DDH balls did that. No balata ball survived an encounter with a cart path or a bladed wedge for that matter. Lol 

 

i also agree with how much better can a ball be than the current Snell offerings.

What would want a new ball to do that the current ones don't. Maybe longer, straiter, better in the wind, etc. Titliest says that every year about the same ball. I don't notice any difference. Balls can't really go any farther than they already do and still be legal. You just need to find one that fits your particular needs.

I’m no businessman but I’m not so sure that new product introduction always keeps a company growing, or on plan. 
 

Though I admit I have no idea what “on plan” means.

If they don't have their yellow stock refreshed by the en of March, I'm bulk buying 5A ProV1 off ebay on the cheap. I want MTB X in yellow and I want it bad.

Plan equals projected growth by the Company during it's fiscal year.

 

Existing products get stale to consumers, "New and Improved"  draws attention to the brand and additional line extensions creates new growth and a broader market share.

 

Same reason that Titleist has so many ball options at different price points .

As much as I agree with you and would really dig that myself, I don't see it happening. I don't know if Dean has worked on a "pattern ball" like truvis or PIX version. You're starting to look at changes to paint patterns and machinery and, since he gets the manufacturing done overseas, I don't know if they're capable. Not to mention, if they did so, it would seem somewhat copycatish and in a response to TM and Callaway.

I'd think that Dean wants to continue to keep it very simple and very clean for the time being and recover from the supply / factory problems from last year. New stuff is in the works as he stated on his last video blog.

I agree it most likely won’t happen. 
 

As much I like the patterns it’s not worth paying for a Chromesoft or TP5
