I still own two sets of those RACFe2O3 wedges, one set with "tour box grooves" and one set of "Y Cutters", I still game them...

I was on BSG hardcore, and GO too, came here after the BSG "blow up", GO was kinda overrun by BSG.

BSG did hip me to Fujikura shafts, they were hyped before the Ozik debacle...

What happened ozik debacle ?? I never followed  shafts and do y cutters still bite ball alot ??

I dunno, I was on the way out when that all went down. I think Todd did some sort of shaft shootout and fudged the numbers to show that Ozik outperformed all the other shafts...

The Y Cutters and Box Groove wedges add spin, but I don't see much shredding going on...

Are you exaggerating??? If not, what did one get for $24,000?! A full fitting, 14 “tour only” clubs, a staff bag, airfare, lodging, meals, spa treatments, a few rounds of golf…??? 🤯

So the reason I got banned from BSG shows you BigHitters true colors. I found out that Callawaypreowned.com was selling tour van rejects. Tour serials and tour issue shafts. I picked up a GBBII with a matte blue Diamana for like $199. When that shaft was going for like $350 alone.  So i bought what I wanted, then shared with everyone that you could score some tour issue goods on their site.  Todd banned me, sent me a message that if Callaway wanted advertisement they could pay him for it.  Then several days later, he is listing his "exclusive" Callaway tour issue hook up and basically buys and resells their tour issue stock.

When my ban was over I posted an account of what went down, assuming it would earn me a ban forever, didn't care. I was banned to like 2034 or something like that. haha.  Guy was an idiot.

DTown has come to WRX, i see him post once in a while. I feel like Will Peoples is the current contemporary of Dtown. Robopti left WRX and i think he bought BSG and tried to revive it. Then went on to do VeyliXXX shafts.  Wish everyone the best. But I think WRX is here to stay and you're probably not doing yourself any favors if excommunicate yourself from here and still try to work in the online golf industry.

Todd at one point purchased a mid-90s Toyota Supra. They make big HP, but it's all up top. I posted the joke, what do 800, 900 and 1000 HP Supra have in common, 12 sec time slips and promptly got a permanent ban.

I remember that photo of Todd wearing the mandals at the Taylor Made event.  After seeing him for the first time I thought there was no way that he could swing the club like he claimed.  I don't remember what he claimed his clubhead speed was but it was high.

In addition to all the tour issue, lime green stuff I also remember that they talked a lot about open clubfaces on drivers.  I always wondered what type of swing flaws they had that required drivers cranked open.

Haha that was a fad here too for a while. Like pre 2010 or around then. You had to have a driver that was like 3-4 degrees open or you weren't a player. The Adams tour issue stuff looked like you were hitting a bunker flop shot at address. Everyone wanted those

There was something about saying that you were "eliminating the left side of the course"...But it's funny haven't heard that in a while. The super open face driver fad seems to have gone away

I used to put in my signature that my driver was "360 degrees open". it sat square LOL. I don't think anyone ever got it

I was a very active member on BSG until it went away the first time.  I was already looking for another site.  The forum reached the point where if you weren't playing straight up TOUR ISSUE through the bag, then you were nobody.  BigHitter was very fond of those lime green Ozik shafts.

This is exactly my case too. When the site came back after the first re-do...it was never the same. I got some cool clubs through the by-sell and had some laughs. Though, as I look back, a lot of stuff that went on in 'the locker room' channel on BSG would be enough to shut it down now anyway. Then, after I came back to the game after a while away, i was looking for something with the active-fun feel of those early bsg days.....and here I am. So far so good!

I got banned form BSG for recommending a local fitter to another member in Chicago.  Pretty sure it was DTown who sent me packing.  He was Todd's right hand man if I recall correctly.

I admit that I took several IV bags full of BSG kool-aid back in the day. Even put BSG decals on the back deck-lid windows of my 'vette. Yes, I was "that guy"; so embarrassing to look back on now. Had the Adams 5050 fairway wood and Adams A2TS hybrid (still haven't had a better hybrid). Many of the designers that produced that Adams tour stuff back then are at Callaway now, and you can see the DNA of things like the Adams 4555 in the Apex UW.

Did the whole open faced R7 425 tour issued head with matte navy Ozik Altus shaft thing. To be fair I did hit some massive drives with it, but not nearly as many as I hit OB and into the gunch. Started to wake up after a tournament round where I hit 14 horrendous drives with that thing and in frustration walked into the pro shop and bought the Cleveland Launcher Comp with ProLaunch Blue 65x they had on fire sale in there. Next day, hit 14 fairways with it with no appreciable distance loss. Proceeded to cuss myself for weeks after that for being such a sucker. That was the beginning of my recovery. LOL

Having said that, I did also buy some Y Cutter type wedges that DTown did custom grinds on for me and they were exceptional. He was REALLY good at that. I've stayed in touch with Derek over the years, and while I can understand where others would disagree because of unsavory interactions they had with him when he was working for Todd, I'm convinced that he's a really good dude who found himself in a horrendous work situation as a young man with a megalomaniac for a boss.
