Z-cords. Most importantly they provide good grip in the heat because my hands sweat like no other, they're good in the cold/rain as well, and they stay in good shape for such a long time.

Tour Wrap in red or white since they seem to be the stickiest colors and due to the price on my irons and driver. On my wedges I have the tour wrap 360.  I'm thinking of switching to the MCC Plus 4 this year.

On top of grip type how often do most people change them?

You left the Tour Velvet +4 off your list.  I will be switching from MCC +4 to the Tour Velvet +4 this season.

Edit:  I see that it is on the list.

I’ve been using the Tour Velvet midsize, but its durability makes me wonder if I should switch to something else. I’m waiting for Lamkin to make something really interesting (and plain-colored).

One thing I’ve noticed is the grip splitting at the bottom - this has happened to me a lot recently. I wonder if I’m not applying the tape far enough down the shaft? It’s a major frustration.

I’ve loved the switch from Tour Velvet to ZGrips. Fantastic during the summer. When my hands are callused and built up from all the summer play they’re perfect.

This is my first year with the fully corded, ZGrips. Downside is that they get extremely firm in the winter. They have been pretty harsh on the few times I’ve been out this December/January.

I enjoyed them so much this summer that I don’t mind though.

Living in Northwest Indiana means I don't have to worry about how they feel in the winter, and I'm a wimp when it comes to the weather so my definition of cold is in the 50's haha. Glad you're enjoying the grips since the change though!

Haha.

I had the standard size built up to midsize with wraps. That has added to the firmness.

Tour Velvet Midsize with 3 added wraps to bottom hand. Why? Because for the money they cant be beat, long lasting, great in all conditions (easy to dry) and the response and feel cant be beat IMO. I like the added wraps for choke down shots and it save money from going in to the Plus4. I play well over 80 rounds per year and they last that and then some in the longer clubs.

Currently using Z-Grip cords, but I like tour velvet/tv360, tour velvet cord, NDMC, and Z-Grips. I wouldn’t have an issue playing any of them, though I typically keep the same grip on all of my clubs. I prefer the price of Tour Velvets the best though.

No Concept Helix? I love them, buying more this weekend.

<edit> as for why, they are easy to put on and take off. No fuss, no mess.

NDMC - why ? Because you can’t find the tour velvet cord in midsize.  Every other grip is junior  size.

I’m about 50/50 between Midsize TV cord plus two wraps and Midsize Z cord align. My hands sweat worse than Albert Haynesworth in preseason conditioning drills.

What do they feel like Would like to try them Are you able to add tape underneath?

No tape or build up, standard size only. I am told they are the same as the tour velvet. I had wraps before these, so that's the only comparison I have.

My guess is they will come out with larger sizes, but how they go on won't allow for anything between the shaft and the grip, it needs to be a clean surface.

I love them. They don't move at all and are stupid easy.

They claim to.  But. Put it in the cart and it won’t show a price and is out of stock.  It’s a tease.

Bump on an old thread but the Midsize Tour Velvet Cords are back in stock on the Golf Pride website.
