Wondering what everyone thinks the value of a tech bay rental would be. And I'm talking about a nice setup like:

= Trackman or GC Quad

= Dual camera system with 240fps slow-mo

- Force capture plate

- Simulator play

- Quality projector\screen

- Comfortable environment

- Food beer available

How much would you pay per hour where you are? Is something like this available to you now, and if so, what are they charging?

Handicap (Arccos calculated):  4.7

Our club has 2 indoor bays.  One of them is a Trackman which is reserved for lessons and club fitting only.  The second bay is a less expensive simulator for fun and games.  Price for each is $25 for 30 minutes, not including lesson cost.  May be included if taking a lesson.  I have only used the trackman and it cost me $25 for 30 min with a pro helping.

Not sure what the financial model is, as it part of a greater golf program and not a standalone product.

We have a facility with food/bev and it is $55/hr Mon-Thurs, $70/hr Fri-Sun. It is a Trackman 4 facility. Expensive, but nice to scratch the itch in the cold months or to do some club testing.

We have a few options locally.  The one course we play has a nice indoor setup with three sim bays and a nice bar.  They charge $25/hour during off hours and $40/hour evenings and weekends.  There’s an X-golf that just opened up that I haven’t been to yet but I think they charge more like $45/hour during most times.

When I was living in Minneapolis, I'd have easily paid $50 for an hour.  Now living in the Tampa Bay, wouldn't pay that much.  Really dependent on what part of the country and the time of year.

If it was a place like you described where I could go with friends and play something like Pebble Beach on a simulator I'd be willing to pony up $30/hour or so per person.

But if we're just talking about hitting balls onto a simulated range I'm not all that interested in that sort of thing. Maybe if I lived in a part of the country where I couldn't do that outside 11 months out of the year it would be a different story.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.

It scrambles the numbers and the #1 is the first place and the #2 is the second etc. If the winner has duplicate entries we count the first
