Golfworks Value Shaft Extractor vs clubmakers Vise Shaft Extractor?

I have some Paypal money burning a hole in my pocket and wanted to pick up a puller. I would only be pulling a couple shafts/ adapters a year so I am kinda looking for bang for my buck. Can anyone compare these 2? The Value Shaft Puller is backordered until march (and is $75) and the other is available now ($105).

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

I vote non of the above. I like the hydraulic car jack type of extractors. They used to call it the Roberts Extractor. They are the best value extractor I have come across and like mine allot. If you can hunt one down they are great bang for the buck.

Here is an example of one:

I had the Golfworks value line extractor a few years back, I don't know if it's the same model as you're looking at as I don't see anything for $75, but that's about the range I paid for it. I was decent, but had some quirks that needed to be learned. If you didn't pay attention it could begin to twist a little and if you don't notice it's entirely possible to wreck a shaft with it. I moved on to this unit and couldn't be happier. From my understanding it's just a guy that's put some pieces together but I haven't had a single issue with it, and it's much better on the stubborn pulls.

If you’re going to pull graphite spend the $250 and get the spring loaded one.
Destroy one shaft and it’ll cost you what the puller cost to replace a premium shaft

Buck, a heat gun is not a good idea.  The heat is too widely spread, so you heat the shaft as well as the head.  I use a propane torch,  there are very small torches that work as well.  It does take some practice as too how much heat for how long, so try it on some old stuff first.  Nessism, Socrates, Stewart, there's a bunch o here who know this stuff.
