Project X Even Flow RipTide MX & LX proto shafts - Farmers 2021

Refresh of EvenFlow Blue and Black profiles, I suspect.

MX has a very strong Aldila Voodoo vibe about it.

@TrueTemper, please send me a MX proto in 80tx to test in a fairway. Having great success with RDX black 70tx in the driver. The lower torque value has benefitted me.

Wade and Trottie were talking about these both being quite low on torque values. My guess is the story on these is that they managed to get the torque down (2.5 in LX, 2.2 in the MX IIRC) without the shafts having a boardy and/or brittle feel at impact. If that is in fact what's going on here, they'll have my attention.

I saw this on Facebook with the Wade video. Lower torque, tighter dispersion. I'm interested. Been gaming Evenflow Black and loving them. I ordered the Riptide 70 6.5 in my SIM fairway but it was just a little too loose. If this is a tighter Evenflow then it may have a shot, and appreciate PX listening to the feedback.  I'll be looking for a 70 6.5 LX to try in my SIM Fwy and my driver. Also may get a SIM2 5 wood if these make it to TMAG custom order list.

I like the even flow black I have in my hybrid. It's stable without feeling overly stiff for me. I had the blue for a short time in a fairway. It felt good but I had control issues. The Rogue White I have not is much better for me. I've had a smoke black and now a smoke yellow in my drivers. I would really be interested to try either one of these and see the results. I like the even flow profile.

We're going on a Minimalist Adventure who knows were we'll end up:

Very interested in these shafts. Any updates

I've got the LX 70x proto and it's stout but feels smooth. It's on par with my 21" Accra RPG M5+ and def low spin low launch for me in the LST head. Gamer is a GD M9003 and I had to loft it up from 8 with with LX. These should be huge for anyone wanting a low/low shaft with feel.

I was disappointed in the specs of the MX after all the hype that they were gonna be low torque. Only the TX flex is really low torque, the rest aren't much different from the other Evenflow shafts. They also have HUGE BUTTS, .635 in the MX 60 6.5 (WOW).

I waited for these to come out and now went another direction with a VENTUS red instead.

I just picked up on the of the MX prototype shafts for my 3 wood and it is incredible.  I'm not usually a fan of mid launch/mid spin shafts but this is definitely unique.  I could feel it throughout my swing but the tip section kept it incredibly stable so I never worried about losing it - no matter how hard I went at it.

It's a perfect compliment to my SIM Ti head - I'm getting great flight and it's so much easier to launch, I don't have to go 100% at it to make it go.  If you get the option, this really is a terrific shaft.

Oh, and it looks incredible in the sun... which never hurts!

What spec is your MX?  Given the torque drop-off between the TX and 6.5, curious to know if anyone has gamed the TX yet.

Bump…

Anyone playing the lx in a fairway?  I’m looking at the 70 6.5.  Curious to hear more feedback.  I usually gravitate towards blueboard profiles, but the stability with feel is very intriguing.
