Rapsodo MLM versus Mevo (non plus)

Hey guys.  Has anyone done a head to head comparison of these two?  Based on my research, it seems that these are the two front-runners in the $500 range.  I know there is a recent thread about someone having serious issues with the Rapsodo, but maybe that's just a faulty unit?  I haven't heard the same complaints concerning the Mevo.  Just wondering if anyone has compared both and can comment on the pros and cons of each.  I am considering purchasing one for use mainly indoors hitting into a net.  Thanks.

I took a real hard look at both before settling on the Mevo in December when Flightscope had a $75.00 off coupon.  I think it's really important to picture how you're going to use it. I'm an Android guy first and foremost and there was no MLM support at the time. The Mevo with Android gave me a ton of mirroring options from the Mevo to a Tab S7+, or to a Samsung 4K Led in my garage or to my S20 Plus outdoors with a click of a button.

 

I know my numbers and the Mevo was super consistent indoors with stickers and outdoors on the range without stickers. Over 150 combined swings indoors and out and the Mevo only dropped 2 or 3 shots. Of course the setup in each location followed the instructions to a tee within the app as well as distance from the ball.  The video option is awesome to see the data matched to each swing as well the ability to draw over the video to see if I was achieving certain positions during the swing.

 

I have nothing negative to say about the MLM, the Mevo was just the right fit for me.

Hey, thanks a lot for the feedback.  I have an iPhone so I believe either unit will work for me.  
 

Does the Mevo also announce the yardage after each shot like the Rapsodo?

It appears so as a selection in the text to speech parameters but  I'm really dialed in on spin and smash factor at the moment and have text to speech  turned off.

How does the mevo work on the range with range balls? I assume it’s only accurate with regular balls, correct?

Is it true that the Rapsodo measures offline deviation whereas the Mevo does not?

It worked fine for me and I should have been a little clearer, my range uses only regular balls, not range balls. I guess my point was that I didn't need the stickers to see reasonably accurate numbers from 80 yards up to 250. I have a Leupold Laser and I can shoot my targets and compare against the Mevo. It was within 5% +/- or less on pretty much every shot. That may not be good enough for other people's needs but I'm focusing on spin and smash factor to improve my ball striking and it works well for that...

Accurate is probably the wrong word. I have range balls in my garage setup and they are obviously going to show slower ball speeds, different spin, etc. compared to regular balls because they are one piece range balls. But to answer your question.. yes, the ball speed will reduce, spin will change depending on ball, and distance will drop off a bit.

Agreed here on the range balls. What I have indoors is a dozen new ProV1s that I have the metallic stickers on for the Mevo and they're strictly for that use only.  I rotate through them during each session and it seems to work pretty well.  For driver spin and smash the numbers are pretty spot on and as I swap out shafts the Mevo results show the correct differences between high spin and lower spin setups. It's been a lot of fun...

I find ballspeed to be very accurate with the mevo, but occasionally swing speed can read too high, particularly with driver.

Is it fair to say that one of the key differences between these two units in terms of data output is that the Mevo measures backspin (whereas the Rapsodo does not) and the Rapsodo measures offline deviation (whereas the Mevo does not)?
