Callaway Apex TCB - U.S. Release???

I just got my Raw TCB's in the mail today and they look like they have a shiny chrome finish with the exception of the clubface and the back badging area.   Can anyone confirm this is the case who also has the Raw heads?  I assumed the entire head would be Raw like a Vokey, which I honestly prefer.  If I would have known this was the case I would have ordered the standard TCB's that have the same Satin finish as the X-Forged CB's.

That is what mine look like as well.  Maybe its just polished like the Zipcore Tour Rack wedges and it will wear off.

Mine came this way as well and it has started to wear off/down on the soles. One range session and a round of golf and the PW is not shiny anymore.

Clearly we have found ways, but why give people the run-around...it's NOT NECESSARY!!!

Kind of mind boggling that the TCB's/TD's need to get approval yet Callaway has 4 different "Long Drive" driver options currently listed on their website.  Not saying either is correct, just not totally understanding logic.

We generate our own hype. Everyone wants these right now, and I will say that I didn’t have any idea what I was getting into when buying them off the rounded toe pics.

They are petite

They are elite

They are far better looking in hand than any picture I’ve seen

First time out with the C Taper build yesterday for a few holes and I really enjoyed them.

If your miss is toe side, they’re not for you, but if your miss is low groove they are for you.

The 4 iron isn’t scary at all, and probably my favourite club to hit so far.

Low groover is all I could muster with the PX LS shafts. Yet they still performed crazy well.

 

I hit a proto Nippon (I believe the LSL 105) yesterday at a fitting with Ben at The Tour Van and it was like a whole new world. Actually getting into the turf and solid contact. PX's are being pulled as I type!

 

Can't wait to get them back.

The Apex TCB is certainly a SURPRISE to say the least...certainly a GREAT choice for the better ball striker category that should find it’s way into more bags once or IF guys are able to:  see, touch and test them. This is where marketing comes into or out of play...

4-8 iron arrived yesterday.  9, PW will be next week.  This will be my umpteenth attempt to knock the S55’s out of the bag.  They look to be about the same size and very close in lofts to the S55.

 

 

watch the BST forum to see how this works out.  Either the S55s or these will be listed.

Comparison photos TCB to S55.  8 & 5 irons.  Almost identical blade length and sole size, but TCB is more rounded and has slightly less offset.  Excuse the low quality cell phone photos.

I am really attracted to these irons, having been down the smaller CB iron route many times I always hit them better but have to take the distance lose which is still hard to deal with ego wise.

 

But hitting bigger headed irons all over the place does not make a lot of sense either. For whatever reason I keep going to "players" distance type club (presently APEX pro combo) thinking it will be better overall and it never seems to work in the long run.

Really can't believe there not a standard release in the states you can even get them from a big box retailer in Australia they come stock here with the PX LS shaft.

They look absolutely amazing... Need to see if they're available in Canada and to see if we're able to get them.. Seems like its dependant on the Rep you have.

Could anyone point me towards a dealer in Florida that could order the TCB please, I asked my Callaway rep I order all my clubs from in Texas and he did not have a clue or would just not say. Seems odd they are making it so difficult to buy their clubs.

 

I sent an email to Coporate but who knows when that will be answered.

How's it going man.  I ordered from fariway golf usa last year.  They're legit.  And the irons are phenomenal.  If you go that route, you won't regret it!

How do you like the irons overall? I know you have some serious speed so that helps a ton, I just like a smaller iron and the APEX pro combo is nice and does well with the Fuji Pro shafts but the TCB are calling me....

I like them a lot.  They are a great package.  I was playing a blended set of Apex MB and Apex Pro Dot at the end of last year.  These remind me a lot of the dots.  They feel pretty damn solid.  I am getting a little more spin out of them too.  But, I changed from the $ Taper to the Modus 120.  So, that's not all that shocking to see.
