Callaway Apex TCB - U.S. Release???

I would sure like to put my hands on them prior to ordering just be be sure I have a chance with them. Going to lose some distance I know but if I can hit the target who cares what number it is on the club.

I have seen some pics on social from one of their demo reps of the TCB in his demo arsenal.  But, have no idea how to find out if it would be available short of just going to some of the demo events.

And it is too bad that it's so hard to find or try.  They are great irons.  I personally feel like these should have been the X Forged CB.  Or, they could have just skipped that release all together.

Haven't hit these yet. I have a set on the way. I will say the MC's are pure. It will be a tough one to figure out. Between the Srixon Zx7, the TM MC's and these. Zx7's are soooo good. MC's are as well. Tough choices.

Foe those that have hit the XF CB and the TCB is there really much difference other than the TCB being a bit smaller?

It looks like my local golf shop may be able to order them, we are waiting to hear what the delivery time might be. I hate to blind buy but it won't be the 1st or the last time I imagine, looking at 5-AW MMT 95s .50" long, 1.5* up, 1* strong. 

Should hear something later today, checked on David Leadbetter but they seem to just push everyone to True Spec even though they are or were a Callaway fitting center.

My first blind buy too, but I did have a chance to compare shafts in my gamers - bought a single 7iron Apex Pro w/ MMT 105tx off the Callaway website built to the same specs of my Apex Pro/DGX100 to see if I liked the shaft.  I definlitely love the MMT and went on blind faith that the feels of the TCB head will be everything folks here have claimed it to be.

I ordered 4-pw raw TCBs and am going to build them to match my 21’ raw apex MB’s.  Figured with both I can play them separate or mix them as a combo.

Getting closer, might pull this off soon. My local guy called a bit ago and confirmed he can order them, we are trying to figure out what would be the best shafts. I could play either the MMT 95 or the Catalyst 100 depending on which were not back ordered.

 

Played today with the 21 APEX pro combo and I could convince myself the turf interaction was not the best and a smaller soled iron would be better for me. Just BSing myself of course to justify buying the TCB.

Catalyst are in stock but I think MMT are backordered. 
also go stock align grip as I think they’re in stock as well.

Thanks for the info, are the TCB taper tip? I played the Catalyst when they 1st came out and to me the taper tip felt entirely different (much better) than the parallel in the same flex.

Wouldn't be surprised that the MMT 95's are backordered - I put in a wedge order a few weeks ago with a MMT 105tx in a gap wedge (which came last week), but delivery dates for the sand and lob wedges with the MMT 95s have been pushed out to early July based on what I see online with my order status.

Can I ask how you got your hands on a set of raw MBs?  I am extremely jealous.  Currently gaming raw TCBs, but also want a set of MBs.

Due to constant rain the last 10+ days in Kansas City, I have only had one round with mine.  So far my Raw TCB's haven't rusted and look pretty clean.  Only other Raw clubs I can compare them to are Vokey's and they seem to be rusting more slowly than my wedges.

I ordered my set from Discount Dans in March have had them for over a month now 🤷

Could be.  It is such a weird product release.  Europe only, then states limited, and don't know what the plan is for Canada.  Although I know TXG had them at some point.

We are still trying to get all the details worked out, apparently this would be the 1st set sold in this area and the local shop is not sure how to make it work and their Cally rep is not responding real fast to questions since he has not sold a set yet either. I am in Sales and like to have the details worked out before I put down my money. 

But everyone is busy selling and that is good, worst comes to worst I will just go with the X forged but I really want the smaller profile irons. I am going to a bigger shop that has the X forged in stock (my guy does not have a demo head oddly enough) and hit them against the APEX reg 7 iron and see how the numbers look.

Ian from TXG mentioned in today's Live that they're still selling the TCB's in satin and raw.

They do look about perfect to me, the right size and enough help to make them playable to an old mid cap

Now it appears the local guy cannot pull it off, too many hoops to jump though. But I have found and confirmed a store in Orlando can do it 4-AW but at $30 more a club.

 

Ugg, how bad do I want to blind buy these...but everytime I put one of the APEX pros or APEX behind the ball I long for a smaller footprint and smaller miss, well maybe a smaller miss.

 

Too bad it is this hard to buy a product from one of the big three.
