Looking for a big stand bag and your input please

Hey everyone I’m looking for a big stand bag with lots of storage, 14 way divider and a putting well. I currently have a Ogio convoy stand bag and I find it too small. I play 2-3 times a week and I’m at the range 3-4 a week as well so a stand bag is a must.

if you guy’s would recommend a bag with a review of it it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Second this. Ive had a couple versions over the past 5-6 years and its a great bag. Not ideal for carrying but theres about as much room as a suitcase in it. Has pockets for everything you can think of and is well constructed. No issues with dividers getting messed up or zippers going to hell. With a little tlc it can last awhile.

My son has the C-130S and enjoys it.  I'm not sure it's much bigger, if at all, than the Ogio Convoy though.

I can't argue with the c-130s.  I know I'm not answering your question and you say it is a must, but is push cart + cart bag an option?  I was going down a similar path that you were not too long ago and opted to do the push + cart.  It just opens up a lot more bigger bag options, and you are probably in better shape than me, but carrying a big stand bag stuffed full could be a burden.

Oh I thought it was bigger I guess I will have to see it in person

Maybe a hair bigger?

C130S is 36” tall and 6.4 lbs.

Convoy is 35.2” tall and 5.9 lbs.

Oh no sorry I don’t carry I just go to the range often and need a stand bag there and on the course I put my stand bag in the push cart

Another vote for SM C130S. I have one and its magnificent. Tons of storage, and the benefit of the legs.

Yet another vote for the SM C130S.

Great on a Clicgear, plenty of storage, a stand for the parking lot and the range, separate putter well.

If you need more storage than that, then a staff bag is pretty much going to be the only option, and I don't think you'll find anything bigger with a stand.  Believe me, I've looked.

Is your bag the double strap Convoy SE or the single strap Convoy RTC?

I have a related question concerning the 130S.  Can it accomodate a double strap (presumably a double strap could be purchased separately from SM)?  I use my bag the same way as the OP and like the 130S, but hauling the bag around using a single strap sort of defeats the stand/carry capability of the bag.

It’s the strap Convoy SE 14

If you can find an Alpha Convoy 514 RTC,  it is larger than the SE and has a putter well. I chose the RTC narrowly over the C130-S when I was bag shopping in 2019. Had a SM Hybrid (predecessor to the C130-S) prior to that. Lots of space in that bag.

Yes it can. Ive ordered my last two with double straps and wouldn’t want it any other way. You might have to attach it yourself after removing the single one or if you order thru somewhere have them do it. Either way you shouldn’t have a problem ordering a double.

I used to have a Sun Mountain 5.5, which was gigantic - essentially the C130 with a stand. I recently downsized to a 3.5, in a concerted effort to minimize what I carry. I dont think SM makes 5.5s anymore, but Im sure you can find them on the aftermarket.

I got one of the very last ones Sun Mountain had. I have a Kangaroo electric trolley, and use it on that. I wanted a big bag without the individual slots, and  it works fine. I hope my battery never dies, because I sure don’t want to carry that bag.
