Hi all

i suffer from hearing problems and hitting a loud sound driver in painfull.

i’m looking for a modern quiet driver. Do you have any advice ? (Not Cotton filling stuff please)

thanks

I’d start with Taylormade. I spent a little while with an M5 but never fell in love. Feels and sounds very muted, almost reminiscent of wooden woods. I liked that aspect of it but I never got the performance right. I couldn’t tell you if the SIM is that way, but worst case scenario an M5 is hardly outdated.

I found gen2 pxg 0811x and cobra f9 very quiet.    Both were perfect in my opinion.

Lol, so far it appears most of the common major manf's are advised. Which brings me to my question: How do you deal with the thousands of different loud sounds you, and all of us, deal with every day?

Sim max hotmelted.

That's what I have.  8 grams of hotmelt neutral bias.  It's as muted as it gets.  Honestly, most of the modern carbon fiber crown drivers are pretty muted even without hotmelt.

In my opinion, in retail product without hot melt or other modifications, the Callaway Mavrik standard and Subzero models both have a deeper tone without a long lingering resonance.

Agree with PXG.  Just received a Proto and it sounds great!  Had a Speedzone before and the Proto is more muted than the Cobra.

The 2002 Callaway C4 Driver.  Quietest driver made in the titanium age.  It's quietness was one of the main reasons why it didn't sell well.

It didn't perform for me at all.

I know it's an old driver but it's the only driver made by a major OEM that doesn't have a titanium face in the last 20 years which gives it the sound that the OP doesn't like.
