JS------Will he finish or implode

While a JS fan, I think he shot his load today and very doubtful he can keep that mo going. Especially since he's not known as of late for getting it done on the weekend and he surely has to be nervous about possibly winning after so long of a bad slump(?). 

 

What's the conscious ?.......................

Probably doesn’t win. Only 1/3 of 54 hole leaders convert. I bet he has a decent round but doesn’t finish it out.

He knows how to win, and he’s closed before. But it’s all between the ears. 
either today was enough of a round to shed the monkey, or it freaks him out so much that he can’t overcome the pressure. 
He did a good job tempering the expectations in the post round interview, but you know it’s on his mind. 
All of us, including him will find out tomorrow.

It's tough to win anytime, but I just hope he has a good showing and stays close to the top.

 

It will give him a much-needed boost in confidence, which is a good part of the battle.

Makes me wonder what this math looks like when its a tied lead and 3 shot gap to 3rd... 1/3 for both JS and Schauffele and 1/3 for the rest?

It's difficult to back up a great round. He has in this tournament hit the ball better each day. Driver was really good yesterday. Irons good today. And the putter. If he putts close to how he did today he wins it.

Should be a fun watch with him and Zander in final grouping and Justin Thomas is within striking distance.

Glad to see him play like he did today. He’s had a rough couple of years and you could definitely see he was having a good time. Even if he doesn’t hang on to win it, at least he got that feeling back of playing well which can only help him, even if he does have a not so good round tomorrow. I personally hope he pulls out the W even though I’ve never been his biggest fan.

He does hit it a lot better but he is also kind of an upgraded version of Finau i.e. a nice guy who doesn’t win as much as it seems he could.

I think today's round was WAY OVER RATED with all this Jordan's back talk from that idiot Azinger. Although he wasn't as wild as he was the first 2 rounds he still wasn't that consistent. He had a long chip in as well as multiple long putts go in. He may prove me wrong tomorrow but todays round was smoke and mirrors.

I predict he hangs around but won’t close the deal .. maybe 2 strokes off the lead. 3rd place at the worst. Xander takes this, in a playoff with JT who puts on a charge early in the round!

Yah I agree with this. How many shots did he take from the desert that would normally be deep rough on most other courses.  I think hes on his way to being back, but not there yet.

 

My prediction: he has a subpar round, E or -1
