Driver shafts under $100-$150

Mainehacker21

Recommended Posts

Lots and lots of good options:

tour ads 100-150$

atmos tour spec (cobra colorway) 50-75$

diamana b/d series- 100-125$

ive even seem some tensei pros for about 125-150 lately, especially the blue and orange.

about the only thing you will have a hard time getting sub 150 is a ventus velocore, diamana zf, tensei pro white. Some VA shafts are hard to come by, but thats really not a price thing rather than a demand thing.

That would be evil to see them dip below 150 (150 here goes fast, 175-225 seems to be most listings). I am trying to not shaft 'ho.

While not super new tech, the YS-6 Reloaded can be had new for 99 or less on sale. I just snagged a new X flex for an experiment 🙂

- b

YS Reloaded is definitely underrated with a very friendly profile. Great buy for $99 or so

Big fan of the NV, still use it quite a bit.  The Tour Green and Tour Blue are both excellent.  And, if the profile suits you, the RIP Alpha is another I'd add to the list.

I’m an EBay hawk ... always looking for deals on golf equipment. Over the last year, on auction I’ve been able to snipe 3 LEGIT Tour AD’s (DI, BB and MT)... I game all 3 in rotation. 2 were uncut, and the DI was used but I just swapped the tip on to match my driver.

All 3 shafts were bought between $100-$145 shipped.

This.  I picked up my Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec for about $100.  I liked it, so I picked up two more for my 3 and 5 woods for similar prices.

Driver: PING G410 Plus, Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec 6S
3W: Titleist D917 13.5 @ 15, Fujikura Pro 2.0 Tour Spec 7S

They screwed up on that chart. It's definitely not. Cobra site had it rated for launch/spin in 2016 as between the ATX Tour Green and the Kuro Kage Silver TINI. I still have a couple and they are 100% a low/low profile!

That's very interesting.

So they re-released the shaft because of popular demand (cult favorite) and COMPLETELY CHANGED its launch and spin characteristics.

I could say "You can't make this stuff up",,,,,, but then I guess I don't have to. hysterical2.gif

What are thoughts on the Fuji Evo line? I see quite a few Evo II out there and reviews (and the looks) are enticing, a little worried it'll feel too whippy. Looks like slight CB, stiff tip, low/low...not sure how that compares to the other evos I think they each have their own profile.

That was an awesome shaft.  Still have one in a Titleist 907 in my bag up north at my sister's house (so I don't have to travel with my sticks).  Great find at a great price!

Fuji Atmos are great and they are often around $100 on eBay as takeoffs.  I have a 7X black on my 4-wood and it is a great shaft.  When I make a nice controlled swing, that club is a monster.  My 3-wood and hybrid also have it (7S, probably a touch soft but still a great shaft).

I know what you mean: the black feels super wooden.   it does the job but is a cheap shaft.

I got a CK Pro Orange 70S for $155, a Diamana DF 60TX for $175, and a Diamana D+ Ltd 60TX for $160 here, so yeah.  Deals to be had for sure! You can try them out (all the better if they have tips installed for whatever driver you play) and sell them if they don't work out.

Just picked up a nice Tour AD-TP a little more than $150 but really excited about trying it out

I picked up a TP 6X off the 'bay for about the same price.  Launches just a tad higher than the 'ahina 6X I usually game, but with the same piercing flight.  Its a great shaft.

I’ve been playing a hzrdus smoke black in my epic flash for a while now. I really like it but I like to tinker more and am getting the itch to try something else. Problem is I would love to buy a Ventus or another premium shaft but just can’t cough up that much money. Any suggestions for something to try that’s not going to break the bank?

I’m playing the hzrdus smoke black in my G410. Great shaft. I recently took my Fujikura Fuel in my old G30 to a shop to install a G410 adapter. The Fuel imho is a lower launch, lower spinning shaft than the smoke. My basic launch monitor doesn’t give me spin numbers but the visuals are undeniable. I saw the Fujikura Fuel on ebay for less than $40.

Aldila ATX Tour Green (has been mentioned a couple times already): got two uncut hybrid shafts for under 50€ each and they are fantastic.

Fujikura Speeder Evo II: great feeling shaft

Diamana Blueboard/Whiteboard: smooth and plenty of them on the bay
