I was fitted for $ Tapers. Everywhere I've read literally says that $ Tapers were designed for pros who loved the KBS Tours but wanted lower launch/spin. My Trackman numbers from the fitting also show lower spin in the $ Tappers by about 400 rpm.

The last of my zx7 clubs showed up thu (6i) and fri (aw). Shipped with tv grips loose as they were out of MCC grips and I have some at home. The AW was the longest wait, ordered 5/2, delivered 6/18. Would have been another couple weeks if I’d waited for Srixon to get more MCC grips.

Update: Ordered 6/7, received this morning 6/19. No shipping email confirmation. Open box and the shafts are S300 with black/white MCC Aligns. Invoice reads $ tapers with red/black MCC non align version. The inner ho in me says screw it, just play them but I really want what I ordered. SMH.

Did you order directly through Srixon?

How long was the wait for your ZX5 gap wedge? I ordered from TGW on June 4, so I know it's going to be a while...

JFYI, I ordered a set of 5-Gap zx5 (95i stiff shafts) thru our Pro on June 3rd.  Was told mid-July by Srixon rep.  I recieved everything except for the gap wedge in just under 3 weeks.  MCC mid size in blue/black combo tho, which was in stock (and what I wanted).  No idea on the gap timing, but as the forum shows, most heads are here and product is shipping now.  With the lofts as they are, I do need that club in the set and hope it ships in July.

Good luck all!

Anyone else have the silver paint flaking off in the back of the iron?

Pretty annoying, although it likely won't affect anything play-wise.

That sounds odd.  ZX7 are plated, or pretty sure they?

It's ZX5, but it looks like the same type of silver paint used in the ZX7. Not 100% sure on that though.

Was about to order but keep thinking that in this market QA usually takes a hit. I may wait or order another set of z785's.

That's a bummer. Perhaps that back plate/piece isn't solid carbon steel?  My OCD has caused me some issues with the gaps/slits in the ZX5s for cleaning purposes.  My ZX7s have a solid back so they are far easier to clean.

I plan on getting the ZX7s at some point this year, and I know it's going to be a wait whenever I get around to ordering them.  I was going to order them with s300 shafts in them, but I may just order them with the standard Modus shafts and swap out for the DG myself.

I currently have a set of Modus 125s in my Hogan PTx Pros, and after demoing the ZX7 with a s300, it made me realize how much I miss the DG profile.  I may just reshaft those with the DG, and then be as patient as possible with new irons.

On 5/24, I ordered a combo set ZX-5 in 4 & 5 and ZX-7 in 6 thru AW.  +1/4" and 1.5' upright with Project X 6.5 shafts.  The fitter told me yesterday that there were inventory issues (didn't specify which components) and he believed delivery was unlikely until mid-August.  He is going to check in Monday/Tuesday to see if he can get some more specifics.

I knew when I ordered that delivery timelines were pretty stretched out.  I was optimistically hoping for something close to 6 weeks rather than 10-12 weeks.  Still excited about getting these new irons, though!

Have you had the lies or lofts adjusted?  This “flaking” is why most places won’t bend clubs and the ones that do won’t go more than 2*.

Nope, they were ordered directly from Srixon through DD's at 1 degree up, standard loft.

Also, the flaking is inside the badge/cavity.

It's been 7 1/2 weeks still waiting on a approach wedge to complete my order. Seems a bit long not sure why it should take this long ?

Ordered 3/26 and am still waiting for my order. The most recent issue were the shafts for the 9 iron and AW. KBS C-Tapers are the hold up. Getting very tired of waiting.

What flex? I ordered ZX7s with KBS C-Tapers in X Flex -- it's only been 4 weeks (was quoted 4-6) but if you are going on 13 I've probably got a long way to go.

S Flex. I’ve been quoted many different dates at this point. I wouldn’t get too attached to that time frame. I hope I’m wrong for both our sanities lol

I'm in the same boat. Ordered 4/3 zx7 with $ Tapers. Last I heard was a 6/29 ETA but that didn't happen.

My AW took about 6 weeks. I’ve been waiting on a Ping wedge for going on 3 months at this point so could be worse. Part of the new normal…

I began browsing these clubs in October last year but didn't get a chance to get to my local supplier (out of town) for several months and when I finally did they were all sold out! Anyway I've been keeping an eye on their website and the ZX5s popped up as 'in stock' again this week. So I jumped on them. I rang to see if they also had the GW but they only had the stock 5-PW in Modus 105 regular flex available and only three sets! Anyway I ordered them and I'm hoping they'll be here tomorrow (Friday) in time for the weekend.  If not they should be here Monday. I'll wait until I have had a chance to hit them to decide whether to order the set GW. I have a 50° Cleveland wedge so I'll play that initially. The other option I guess is the CBX 2 in 48° or 50°. That club is available immediately and would be here in a couple of days versus the weeks or months it might take for the ZX5 GW to arrive.

Decisions, decisions 🤔

From that picture, it looks like what is under the coating is whitish, like it is plastic or some polymer (that plated polymer thing on a Ping Glide 3 wedge for example).  Is it metal?  Genuinely curious.
