G425 Max direct comparison to 400 Max launch??

I’m wondering for those who’ve switched over to the 425 Max from the 400 Max, did you need to go up in loft? Sounds like most are finding the 425 launch lower and spin WAY less than the 400. 
And of course, with the improvements in launch conditions, and supposedly ball speed, have you seen noticeable differences in distance? 
I’m sure this has been touched on in the other threads, but I didn’t see any specific comparisons covered in depth.

Not so sure about your conclusion.  I have not demo'd the G425 Max extensively, but I gave it a pretty thorough run-through last weekend at PGATSS.  Unfortunately, I did not bring my G400 Max along to compare.  I have both 9* and 10.5* G400 Max heads, but generally prefer the 9* for lower launch and spin.

 

Anyway, I found that the 10.5* G425 Max head spun very high.  I was getting much better numbers with the 9* head with a stiffer shaft.  So, I would say, at least demo the heads to draw your own conclusions.  This was not a proper fitting per se, but it was pretty clear to me that the G425 Max head was not low spin where you need to loft up necessarily.  YMMV.

The G400 Max for me, was a fairway finder but spun and launched way too high (I had the 10.5).  I ordered the 9* G425 Max and will have it set at -1 flat to lower launch and spin.  The flat setting on the G410 and G425 is a game changer and worth the switch alone.

This is my experience on one day with my swing.  YMMV.

 

Does the 425 MAX spin less than the 400 MAX?  Yes in general, how much less is dependent upon your delivery.  I did not have a direct shaft for shaft comparison because the connector has changed.  However based on what I did have to hit, it is lower, saying how much lower would be circumspect as not shaft for shaft.  My 400 MAX has a Tour 75 in it and the closest I could get was a 425 MAX with the Tour 65, so similar but not the exact same.

 

I am still playing my 410 LST as I found it almost as forgiving as my 400 MAX and it spun less than it as well.  The 425 LST is nice, shaft for shaft averages spin was down about 200 RPM with the 425 LST vs my 410 LST.  The 425 MAX was about 300 higher than the 425 LST and 100 higher than my 410 LST.  They both were very nice and with fine tuning I could probably pick up a few yards, but nothing to where I want to lay out the money for a new driver.

I had a G400 Max 9* with a Speeder 7.2TS X and it was probably the best driver ive ever owned. Obviously I sold it in search of 5 more yards! Haha

So, without access to a good LM I’m thinking about just ordering a 9* 425, but am weary as I was saying in the OP about seeing some reviews finding much lower spin in the new Max. 
This time around though, I’ve got a Ventus Blue 6X waiting for it, so the lighter shaft may make up the difference in the lower spin 425 vs the slightly higher 400 with a heavier shaft.
