Great job Corey Pavins on the comparison.  Your impact tape confirmed my recent post --- that is, Staff CB is slightly shorter heel to toe but taller, and with its rounder toe makes it a unique shape against everything else.

For anyone coming out of the V6 the CB appeared identical at address to me. The Srixons have traditionally been longer heel to toe, lower spinning, and stronger lofted. I hit both, the ZX7 looks better than the 765 or 785 but to my eye not as good as the CB.

Just demoed both side by side with various shafts.  I also have both the v6 and 785 as my current iron sets.    they both performed great and were honestly giving me similar numbers, tested w

Have you played a Wilson club? I took a flyer on a set of V6's 2 years ago and they've been in my bag since. IMO, they are seriously underrated. I will be gaming the CB's without a doubt. People who a

Hey guys, there are a lot of great products out there. Which would you choose between the Srixon cb and the Wilson staff cb irons?

I'm coming off the V6 to CB. Shape is pretty much the same, but the topline on the CB is a touch thicker. To me, the CB delivers a heavier hit. Extremely solid, very penetrating flight, not hugely forgiving, but still forgiving.

As a previous Wilson guy, I’d choose the Staff Model blades over the CB.  Since the FG Tour 100s, Wilson has made and incredibly forgiving blade.

For me the Staff Blade was moving a touch more left than the Tour 100. Could have just been my swing that day.

I agree on the topline being a tad thicker, but the shape and blade length are very similar.

it may move a bit more.  Still think it’s a large enough blade to inspire confidence

I hit the cb again today.  It has a very solid feel.  Compared them to the staff blade.  The staff blades have a more squared off toe while the cb is more round.  Quite a bit different.  Staff blade is a little longer heel to toe.  The cb is very compact!

I have staff blades, thinking about the cb.  Idk if there would really be that much difference.

Bit easier turf interaction with the wider sole.  Some perimeter waiting to help with mishits. I always preferred the look of the blades behind the ball. Feel I get used to the thinner sole after a couple of rounds and tend to chip better with blades than CBs.

I play the V6 and played the V4 before that. Will be playing the CB shortly. I have a shallow AoA so the V sole on the Srixons does not work well for me. Something to consider depending on how steep your swing is.

I believe this is the same reason I am struggling with my Z785 4 iron.  4iron set at 23 degrees loft.

I play VR Pro MB's 5-PW and just wanted a little more distance in the 4iron but have been struggling a bit with the launch from tight lies.

With that said I decided to roll the dice and ordered a Wilson Staff CB 4iron.

Hopefully it works out

I can see that you may have an answer with your new WS CB 4I but you could bend the 785 a degree or two strong, get more distance and reduce the impact of the V sole with a shallow AoA. Will reduce offset with that as well (if that is useful for you).

Just a thought.

People who aren't "in the know" might look at your bag and think you got em at Walmart, but I can assure you, they perform.

Yup have the D7 Forged and love them more and more each round.  Took a while to adjust as I was coming from the Ping G30 but I'm getting there.

And looks wise...whew they look good

I tried that but the trajectory was too low.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
