Just watched this review. Guy hitting can move it pretty good, but the numbers and distance he was getting from this driver was crazy....

Wow, he’s hitting some high launch low spin tight dispersion bombs.

Given he’s using Trackman coupled with the magnetic dot on the ball, and achieving crazy good launch and smash I’d say his results are pretty accurate similar Also, 2nd Swing is a legit company with a solid reputation. Performing driver reviews with misleading undisclosed settings would wreck their credibility.

From an efficiency standpoint (input-chs, output-bs) it wasnt anything special, on par with the leaders. He was getting ridiculous distances because he was hitting 1700-2000 spin with 16 launch. Tough to take that to the course. What it does tell me is its a pretty low spin driver. As much as i want to like TEE, im a little soured as their resale value is atrocious.

I guess it matters if one buys and sells lots of clubs.

You don’t get to recoup too much of the cost if the resale value is low

As the commercials go, it is LOOOOOOOOOONG!

The Ridgeback - first impressions is that it has a great purpose, but I'll wait. I'm sure they will hide it next year.

Its not that it decides whether or not i buy a club, but sheesh TEE lose their value quick. Just an observation.

Yeah I here you.  I just think it’s a lose lose proposition regardless of the OEM.  I’ve been able to ridiculously break even on all my purchases since last March.  This is an anomaly. The reality is that unless you buy and hold for a few years, it’s a sunk cost.  And there is no one on Wrx that is thinking that they will truly break even or get reasonable recovery value on any purchase.  The amount of shafts I have bought over the years alone could feed a small army.  Yeah I can buy and sell those right now but in normal times? No interest.

Bought one yesterday. It's legit. I went up in loft and the flight is very nice. It's not really higher than my 9 degree SIM. It's friggin much more forgiving though. It just wants to go straight. I'm not sure my SIM will be in the bag now.

I agree with Simp.  Totally legit.  Have 3 rounds on mine with Hzrdus RDX Black.  Picked it up with the 30 day trial guarantee from Tour Edge.  So far very impressed.  Definitely low spin and high MOI which is a great combo.    I am comparing to the Epic Max LS to see which one stays.  If you are in the market for a new driver worth a look for sure

I was thinking this as well... next year they'll hide the Ridgeback and it'll look much better.

I have this driver and I can say that for me this driver is straighter and longer than my Ping G410 LST I gamed last year.

I was averaging about 30-40% FIR last season. My five rounds since getting this driver so far this season:

31%, 43%, 50%, 57%, 64%

When I played yesterday, I also missed two other fairways by a combined 5’.

As far as distance, my speed is high teens, and I’m consistently getting 265+ carry distance. I’m going to swap out to my favorite driver shaft, the KBS TD, and see if I can improve it even more.

This driver is a steal IMO and also is bar none the best sounding driver that I’ve played since the 90s probably!

Does it have a shot shape bias? I don't need help going left.

None. And no weighting to adjust except for the rear weight that is centered. I hit a natural draw, and it works perfectly. But when I want to hit a push fade over a dogleg, it has no problem following my below average “fade swing”.

I haven't bagged an Exotics driver in over a dozen years but these have me intrigued. I hit one with a Ventus Black the  other day and wow, it really was consistent. After hitting a few balls getting a feel for it I hit 20 drives and lateral dispersion was 28 yards while vertical was 22 yards. It is not the longest I've ever hit but is certainly worthy of being considered long. I'm interested to see what the Glod gang does with this tech and will strongly consider it going forward. As far as sound, it reminds me of the R510TP and that's a good thing.

The answer to better golf is hit it better, farther, and make more putts.
