I only watch Golf and Football now for the most part.

In Football my team is the Bills

I was a huge NBA fan for a long time but that league pretty much lost me when it became perennial everyone complaining about how unhappy they are and demanding trades. I watched the Raptors for years and loved that team. I would have rather them never win a title with Derozan, Lowry and JV than win one with a bunch of mercenaries who didn't even like Toronto. Meanwhile Derozan openly loved the city and they traded him. The NBA sucks

Totally get it. As a Warriors fan, it meant a lot that they won their first two of the recent three with home grown stars. Brought KD in for the 3rd, and for me wasn't as special.

Demar was the first homegrown allstar to re-sign in Toronto. That meant a lot to Raptors fans after everyone else left , especially as the lone Canadian city, different currencies, and all that. A lot of guys didn't want to play here

He had offers from his hometown team (LA) but chose to stay in Toronto and then went out and said he wanted to be the best Raptor ever, this was his new home etc....

Than we traded him for a guy who didn't want to be here. The NBA pretty much jumped the shark for me there .

No doubt it’s difficult these days to separate the business from the sport. I enjoy watching so I do my best to not let it bother me. It makes me think how special golf and the other solo sports are. No free agents/super teams, no prima donnas pouting and requesting trades. Also how refreshing is it that you get paid each week based on your performance. (sponsorship not incl) Nobody making 20m a year and going out there and just going through the motions or just not producing.

I'm old fashioned, I usually listen to sports. Baseball and basketball mostly. Unsure why but a good play by play announcer over the radio can paint a better picture than watching it for me.

NCAA Basketball - Anything in March

NCAA Football - Any good game

NHL - Any playoff game or good matchup

NBA - borderline unwatchable

Baseball - unwatchable

Pittsburgh sports teams + Pitt - Buccos (Pirates are on my perennial s*** list until Nutting sells)

Oddly used to be a Duke fan until the big east dissolved, first memory of college basketball was Jason Williams and Battier winning a natty.

College University of Wisconsin Badgers

NFL Green Bay Packers

Bowling

Adding:  I moved to Des Moines from Wisconsin in 2019.  I am amazed at what a great sports town this is for not having a pro team.

So many fans of different NFL teams here, and all I've talked with know the sport.  Even the Vikings fans!

Of course, Iowa and Iowa State are big down here.

Just a really good sports town...

Man utd, I'm a Salford red and live about 2 miles away, been a season ticket holder since around 83.

Like my rugby league, great game watch.

Only like cricket when it's England especially the ashes.

Apart from NHL not a clue on American sports, but I like watching the NFL especially when it's the play offs towards the superbowl, not a clue what's going on but it's fun to watch

Not a lot of love for baseball! I guess I’m one of the few here. I watch pretty much every A’s game on TV and when we could, went to a lot of games. Of the big 3 sports, it’s by far the most accessible. I could take BART or drive there, get a seat in the lower level for under $40 and spend a beautiful, relaxing day in the sun catching a game. It’s my opinion that a lot of ppl that say it’s boring just don’t understand the games within the game and all the strategy involved.

I get the MLB Extra Innings package and watch most Mets games through the season. Much like my golf game, I enjoy pain I guess.
