Maxfli Tour balls

Has anyone heard if Dick's/GG will be releasing a new version of their Maxfli tour balls soon? 

 

They are selling out their 2019 stock and don't seem to be restocking. 

 

Best urethane ball for the price IMO. Especially when they have the sales.

I like them as well.  Seems supply has been short for some time.  But no data to back that up.  I've been waiting for them to get back down to 2 for $50.  Or maybe another BOGO deal.  If they make a 2021 ball, I hope the 2019's get clearanced at a nice price!

Noticed low stock at my local DSG as well that they haven't been restocking.  I haven't bought any since they stopped the 2 for $50.

Cant see them getting rid of these or at least I hope not.  Been using them for some time and they are the best non-dtc deal on the market as far as I’m concerned.  It’s basically a prov1 at half the price.  
 

They’ve been 2 for 60$ for a while, but with the 10$ off coupon dicks and gg send out quite frequently you’re back to 2 for 50$.

My thoughts as well. I haven't noticed a difference between the 2.

 

Dick's/GG websites are not accurate with what's available. I went to 3 different stores each in the past few weeks and there were none on the shelf while their website said there were still a few available.

Yes, but I got spoiled with the $10 off the 2 for $50 deal.  I have not bought in a while as well, but may use a coupon if supplies get too low.  I have 7 doz right now.  Not including a few sleeves in the bag.

You’re scaring me a little bit here.  May have to make some calls to see if I can find anything out about a 2021 model coming out.  I hope that’s all it is and not some covid related manufacturing/shipment issue.

I’m with you, but even with a coupon to get to 2 for 50$, it’s the best deal available out there. Especially if you don’t care for dtc.

How were the matte ones? Did they get dirty and or have a different feel compared to the white?

While the matte balls, the green ones anyway, do get a bit dirty they play just like the glossy white balls.  I see no  difference in the playability of either ball when it comes to scoring.  I mostly used the green ones to tweak one of my playing companions but decided I like the ball quite a bit.  Easy to find in the dormant bermuda grass, too.

I've played the matte white pretty exclusively for the last year and while they do get dirty, I typically wipe my ball when I get to the green anyway.  I think they play better than the glossy white, but I'm sure that's psychological.

I just bought 4 boxes at GG and asked someone working there if they were selling these out. He said they keep getting plenty of the 2019 version in and as far as he knows there is no plans to update the ball to a newer version. 

 

I don't mind. I like them the way they are.

According to Britt on Ralphmaltby.com, there are new versions of the Tour, Tour X, Soft and Straitfli balls hitting the shelves in April. 

Like many products from Asia they have been delayed by COVID19

Thanks for that. So either wait for the new versions, or pick up the 2019's cheap. 🤑

All I know is they have screwed up balls in the past tying to improve them. I hope they don't do that with these.

I hear ya.  I live in Surrey, BC myself and the nearest Dick's is 40 min away from me in Bellingham, WA and would love to get a few dozen myself as soon as the border opens.  To me, the Maxfli Tours are the biggest bang for your buck for golf balls as the performance is on par with the Pro V1.  Only used balls gives you more value.

Not really, unless you buy under a certain dollar amount off goods when you go cross the border (not counting booze and smokes).  I've usually bought stuff for under a $100 when I went to Bellingham when the border was open and never paid duties and taxes when I was on my way back to Surrey even when I declared them.

Thanks for the heads up.  Went ahead and stocked up a bit in case they decide to hike up the next gen.

I'll wait to see if the 2019's go down significantly in price when the new ones appear on the shelves.  Now that they're officially calling it a prior generation, I won't even do the 2 for $50 on them if they bring that price back.

Have you tried the Snell MTB or MTB-X? Best bang for the buck outside of the original 4 piece Kirkland. My playing partners are getting sick of driving to the farthest ball and saying "Snell"? repeatedly, lol

Based on the pricing of their cheaper 2021 balls, I'm guessing the new ones will be at $35/dz, or maybe just $3-$5 off.
So I bought 4 dozen of the 2019's myself. I had a $10 gift card, so got them for $25/dz.

Maxfli Tour X is best ball I have played when on sale.  BOGO deal last year was unreal. Wish I had ordered more. Since their deals have either gone away or are considerably more $ now, I went with Snell during black friday for the 2021 season.
