I hear ya.  I live in Surrey, BC myself and the nearest Dick's is 40 min away from me in Bellingham, WA and would love to get a few dozen myself as soon as the border opens.  To me, the Maxfli Tours a

All I know is they have screwed up balls in the past tying to improve them. I hope they don't do that with these.

Decided to give these a try, prior gen. 2 for $55 with $10 of, not a bad price.   With all that said these balls performed great. Long of the tee, longer with irons and nice stopping on gree

looks like new version is live on website. 2 for $60. Tour and X in white.

Glad to see no price increase.  No yellow yet. Probably just minor changes but look forward to hearing first thoughts on these as I’m still stocked up with ‘19’s.

Like what they're doing with the new alignment aid, can anyone comment how these feel around the green in comparison to TP5/TP5X and MTB/MTB-X?

I played the X regularly and still have a dozen left. I have said many times that I would play this ball over anything other than a Titleist. It only gives up a small bit on durability versus a Titleist in my experience. I did try the regular tour and did not like it as much. The X is firmer than a V1 or TP5 but less firm than those X counterparts. The distance is there for sure with the X and is as long as any other premium ball. I found it to be great for short game spin as well. It was just a great in between ball. Look at the spy website for compression comparisons. The X is a 4 piece so their is probably room for centering issues but they do "align" these balls so you have that going for you. I'll wait for reviews on the new ones and see if I should try to find a bunch of old versions or go in on the new ones. I do like the alignment aide. I have a $50 gift card to Dicks right now so I'll probably use it for these balls.

I think it's doubtful. I'd imagine that if they had those options in the works that they would have already submitted them to the USGA. Anything is possible though.

Haven’t hit the 21’ Tours, but the 19’s compare well with prov1 and tp5–haven’t played MTB.  Feel and spin are similar around the green.  I find the Tours no less pleasing to hit long, short, or putt than anything else out there.

How does the appearance of the cover and color look in comparison with Pro V1? Having never seen these in person, do they look similar to the classy slightly off white of the Titleist (and Snell MTB) or would you say its more of a bright white somewhat plastic look that so many of the DTC balls have? The writeup says they are cast urethane so hoping its the former.

Yep, these things just perform.  As more and more people try them the demand will continue to rise and we’re probably gonna see a price hike sometime soon.

Not if Dicks is smart....they arent going to increase them to match the Callaways, TM's and Titleist prices.  If they do the majority of golfers will just buy the bigger names if price diff is negligible.

Would you buy a Peter Millar shirt or Nike shirt if PM was $100 and Nike were $90 (assuming they fit the same, look the same, etc)

Showing my age. Maxfli WAS a name back in the day before Dicks and GG. You’re right though, if they do happen to go up they’ll offset it for the most part with their 2for deal.

I played these for a week in the middle of April.

Every bit as good as any ball out out there in the tour designation imo.

Agree it’s why most don’t buy the Walter Hagen stuff until it goes on sale.

The sticker price is too much and better options for not much more………until that sale.

The Walter Hagen shirts are actually pretty good.  They hold up well in the wash, but I only buy them from the clearance rack (and now at their local outlet store).  Never pay more that $15-20 a shirt.  And if the balls get north of $30 a dozen, I'll look else where.  I've only bought the 2 for $60 when I had a $10 off coupon.

I'm hoping the price drops on the 2019 balls when supplies get low. If that happens, I'll stock up.

I suck at golf, but have been happy with the Tour X. Decided this was going to be the ball I would stick with this year as I continue to work on my swing and my game in general. Lost enough over my first 2 rounds this year that I picked up 2 dozen with Dick's 2 for $55 deal. Best value for a "pro level", urethane ball IMO. Especially for a guy like me who hasn't honed his swing and game enough to notice the nuances between different balls.

I'll wait for more feedback on the 2021 version to see if anything changed other than graphics. Until then, I'll buy the old 2019 stock until they sell out. I honestly can't say anything bad about them. A ProV1 at almost half price is the best way to describe them.

How many dimples are on the new version? Can't find that info anywhere.

According to the USGA conforming ball list both balls are 318 dimples. Same as the 2019 version. A slight difference on the new X model per the conforming ball list is that its 4 piece, 3covers compared to the 2019 X version which was 4 piece, 2 covers.

FWIW, I've float tested 3 dozen of the '19 Tour X's in matte white using the Epsom salt method. Of the 3 dozen, I found maybe 8 that I considered balanced enough to use the stock alignment aid. The other 2+ dozen I marked the high spot and made my own alignment aid. Now, I don't recall any being wildly unbalanced, and I would say at least half were within the 1/4 quadrant of the ball that had the stock alignment aid. But if this sort of thing matters to you, you might want to float test your own.
