Footjoy 2021?

Well as much excitement as I had for the Premiers, Footjoy is totally sh*tting the bed on the launch of these. They were slated for Feb 15, then March 1, and now March 15. 

 

Why even publicize a date if you cannot hit it? I have been holding out for some MyJoys but with spring essentially here, I am tempted to take a different route.

Footjoy did a pre-release sale in December so I don’t know why the main release date keeps getting pushed back.  They seem to have good reviews so who knows what the delay is.

I’m in the same boat. I had some Shield Tips warrantied out in November. CS advised to possibly wait for the Premieres. I’ve been anxiously waiting until Feb 15th, only to find out on the 16th (closed on 2/15) that the launch was pushed to 3/1. My “order” was placed, but I wouldn’t see it on my end until 3/1. Now, I’m seeing it’s 3/15. I’d just like to understand, as we have been seeing the shoes pop up at retail locations for the past 3 weeks.

First real test for the Hyperflex BOA’s today. Course was soaked, got about 2 inches of rain yesterday and it rained off and on on my round today. Shoes performed perfectly, my feet stayed completely dry and there was a couple of down pours. Here’s a pic of them after the round.

My Tarlows arrived yesterday. I ordered a pair of Packards that are suppose to arrive next week. These shows look even better in person!!!!

 

I’m aware of the irony based on how bad of a picture I just took.....

Isn't the material an elastic cloth? And they stayed dry?

Yes they did. It honestly surprised me as well. They do come with a 2 year waterproof warranty.

Picked up a pair of the Premiere's today (Packard version), super comfy and surprisingly lighter than I expected.  Can't wait to try them on a course.

 

I also tried on a pair of the Hyperflex and they were very comfy as well, extremely soft soles.  In the end, I just didn't love the look.

I love that color but it’s not on FJ’s website.  Looks like maybe a European color?

I snagged a pair from my local PGASS. I assumed they had received them some time ago and called on Monday (3/1 was the date the release got pushed to, first). They said they were putting them out that day. 
I still have a pair of Packards shipping (supposedly) on 3/8 from FJ.

First round in my new Premieres. They are lighter than DryJoy Tours, but felt every bit as stable. Not as light as my Tour X’s. They felt around the same weight as some Shield Tips that I had. 
Not as comfortable as the Tour X’s, but could need a little breaking in.aunt the best looking shoe outside of the custom MyJoy Shield Tips. Looks like FJ has a monster winner on their hands here!

 

Edit: Since this is the Style & Fashion Forum, I paired the shoes with a 5-pocket Navy pant from RLX and the light blue Cashmere Golf Hoodie from RLX.

Ahh, nice! Didn’t see any at my local Golf Galaxy and the nearest PGASS is an hour away might make the trek since these are so badass!

I've got 2 rounds under my belt with my pair and have to say I finally found a replacement to move on with from the swoosh. So comfortable and stable.

I’m glad you are liking them! 3rd round with mine today. I have about 4 or 5 other pairs of golf shoes and I don’t want to wear any of them anymore.

I was told by FJ Customer Service a couple of months back that they will be available thru the MyJoy program. This could be an expensive summer....

There’s a white pair with gold accents in the catalog, same as the color way as the white and gold Pro S/L, that has the same launch date listed as the others but can’t find it anywhere. When I asked FJ about it I never got a reply. I was holding out on ordering a pair until those were available but I’m going to order the black ones after reading the reviews here from everyone.

How do the new premieres compare to the Icon Black, pretty similar feeling? Was really surprised how comfy the Icons are and wish I got a pair in black.

I came across them on PGASS but in wide only. In FJ, no wide needed for my foot. I will pick this colorway up if I find them in medium.

 They’re in PGA Super Store website now, so I’m guessing they’re trickling out to retailers slowly.

Thank goodness they came out with a blue color as the black and grey are hard to wear with shorts in the TX heat.  Will be picking these up soon.
