Footjoy 2021?

Have had many Flex pairs over years & they could be what you're looking for.

The fabric material breathes like crazy & it's very sneaker-like so it's soft feeling with out much stability.

Be sure to get the correct size & width for you.

NOTE:  I tried the Stratos shoe this year & was very impressed.  A leather shoe with more stability than the knit shoes.  Good cushioning too.

Stratos has been great for me this year. The wide toe box and extreme cushioning has done wonders for alleviating foot pain after walking rounds. Much prefer them over my Ecco Biom Hybrids right now.

How does the toe box of the Flex compare to the Stratos? I might want a lighter shoe for when it gets really hot in the summer and I'm just hitting balls and maybe playing a few holes in the evening.

Second round with the TourX after a 5 week shut down due to Covid (Hooray Ontario), but I am loving these shoes. I rode this round just due to the course I played but no issues, no slipping and my shoes were covered in grass, super comfortable, my feet are not sore like they have been with others, no hot spots, blisters, etc. I think I've finally found a shoe that checks all the boxes I'm looking for.

My one gripe is very minor but common, the laces and tying these up. I'll put them on and tie them up at my truck and then on the first tee re-tie them tighter but then they seem to be good for the round. But if that's the only con for these I'm fine with that.

Toe box is more form fitting on the Flex due to the shoe material but overall width is good.  It might be the shoe material & design that gives the Stratos its roominess.

I like the Flex for more lightweight use than the Stratos.  I have less foot/leg fatigue after wearing the Stratos.

Tried on a bunch of different shoes at PGA Superstore today. Packard Premieres in 11.5 medium without the insole fit good, but would be a tough walk. The traditions in 11.5 wide fit good. Stratos in 11 medium was a good fit too, but did not like the look. Ended up ordering a pair of the Flint Southern Traditions in 11.5 wide. Hoping the sole it is more burnt orange than red. Pro/SL in 11.5 wide was too tight.

I also spoke with someone at Footjoy. The Pro/SL is on a different last than the Premieres, Pro/SL last is a bit more narrow. Premieres and Traditions use the same last.

Got the shoes in today. The 11.5 wide for the flints is too long. Footjoy is telling me to try an 11 X-wide. I don't like the colors of the X-wides. I will probably order the 11 x-wide in Packard and Flint from Footjoy, figure out fit. Return both and then order Myjoys. What a waste of shipping.

I had to order five pairs to get my fitment correct lol. If they have your sizes, order multiple pairs from Carl’s Golfland, they have free shipping and free return shipping. They’ve earned my business with how unbelievably easy their return process is. They also don’t take a week to refund your money like TGW.

I’ve had a pair of Traditions for about two months now, but finally got around to wearing them for the first time last night. They were actually really comfortable. Walked in our 9 hole men’s league and had no issues at all. I usually wear my Premieres and then go into my HyperFlex BOA if it’s been a few days in a row. Will definitely be getting a couple more color ways of the Traditions for their price.

Hi All,

quick question... I want to try the premiers but I really want BOA and NEED spikes. According to the Footjoy website, the only Premier that has both spikes and BOA is all black unless you go the “MyJoys” route. I have no use for an all black shoe (I want white). Has anyone heard any rumors or a white version coming out? You can’t even order my joys for a couple of weeks and not really wanting to pay the premium if there’s a standard version planned.

What Socks does everyone wear with the premieres? The standard FJ ones are way too high up, the ankle is super low cut on the shoe.

I wear Balega hidden comfort socks with my premieres.  Just the right height and they are the best socks on the market IMO

I hesitated to answer this before because I don't have Premieres but my answer to all sock questions is Stance.  Check out their athletic tab socks, they are just the right height for all low cut shoes and they don't slip down.  They have really nice patterns of elastic and cushioning and I just can't say enough good things about them.

Balega hidden comfort, stance no show tab, and swiftwick maxus zero are all great socks.

hidden comfort used to be my fav but they don’t hold up well over long periods.  Then stance are good but taller than I like but have great feel and a great tab but are harder to put on. The maxus seem to be my fav right this minute.  All of those socks are good tho.

Debating between the Premieres or the Hyperflex (BOA?) - any suggestions?

From a pure comfort standpoint, hyperflex all day.  For me, however, I need stability and support from my golf shoe.  So I would take the premiere's over the hyperflex.

Zero stability & support issues with Boa hyperflex. They're just made out of different materials and might feel different to some folks. Great shoes which I'm glad they released.

Don't get me wrong, they're great shoes.  But like I said in my post, my swing requires a bit more stability.  I had the hyperflex for a couple days and couldn't get over how much my foot moved inside the shoe.
