Hope your wife doesn't see this, but how many clubs are you changing, or have changed, for 2021 season?

I'll be changing to a RadSpeed driver.

I have a new shaft for the utility that I'm going to try out (Ventus Blue HB)

I have a Cobra MIM lob wedge that FedEx is supposed to be dropping off tomorrow. 👍

I've bought most of my equipment last year.  New driver, 3 metal, irons and 54*.  My irons and 54* needed to be replaced because they were 10+years old.  Nothing yet so far this year although I'm going back and forth on getting myself a SIM 2.0.  I hate OEMs, haha.

From some winter driving range trips it appears that I am becoming a big fan of PXG this year.

3w - Mavrik SubZero to PXG Gen 2 3w

7w - original Callaway Steelhead to PXG Gen 2 7w

9w - original Callaway Steelhead to PXG Gen 2 22 Hybrid

Putter - Odyssey White Hot Pro V-Line to Odyssey Stroke Lab Black Ten (this may be a short run though as I expect I will end up with the new 2Ball Ten with sight line once released)

Mavrik driver sticking around for now but I do have some Gen 2 X and XF driver heads coming that may change that.

Irons are unchanged from last year with the original PXG 0211.  Tried Gen 3 P and Gen 2 XF but prefer the 0211.  Something about them is very good for my swing.

You don't need to hide anything, you just need to have more than one place to keep things...  I have sets in 5 different locations in the house.  It is also MUCH easier to do when you have bags with the same basic color scheme.

As a true WRXer, I feel it is my obligation to make changes to my bag on a regular basis, particularly at the start of each new season.

The beginning of your post, see above, made me laugh as I am in the same boat.

"Get dressed Spaulding, you're playing golf today."
" No I'm not Grandpa, I'm playing tennis."
"No, you're playing golf and you're going to like it."

So, being in Illinois and buried in snow makes it really easy to want to club ho. So far this winter I’ve changed the following

Mavrik 10.5° to the TSi3 10° Which has worked out very well so far at the golf dome and on trackman

sold my SIM Max 14° and have yet to replace, but I’ve been hitting the new g425 Max 14.5 and it’s pretty good but a little to high of spin, they don’t have the LST yet so I’m eagerly waiting for that. Did hit the Sim2 and wasn’t a fan compared to the g425

irons went from mp20 MMCs to a Titleist combo set, and now I have a set of Srixon ZX7s ordered. Those are gonna stay in the bag, they are one of the best irons I’ve ever hit, super excited to get them!!

wedges are staying the same, other then a 60 T grind Sm8 my brother ordered for me for Christmas, that we haven’t heard about since then haha

and I changed putters from a Bettinardi Hexperimental QB10 to an awesome center shafted Inovi 6.0.

That’s all for now, but we still have another month or so until we can actually go outside....

I have the Ping irons in my sig still to come in on order.

Will probably upgrade my driver to a ZX780, maybe the 580, and will look at changing the 4,5 hybrid.

I also bought an original Callaway Tuttle for $39.00 in exceptional condition. I’ll use it on very fast greens.

Driver: started the season in SIM Max...then Max D...then back to SIM tour issue...now PXG Proto+ and loving it. Would have no reservations playing this the entire 21 season but my SIM Max 2 just arrived, so more driver testing.

Hybrids: started with CLK 16/19 and went to PXG Gen 2 0317 17/22 and loving these with the MMT80S tipped 1/2”. Have hit more par 5’s in two this year than any in the last 10 years.

Irons Wedges: since the launch of the Mizzy921F have had those in the bag but with a regrip for those and the T20wedges. Fitting Sunday at PXG looking at the 0311Gen 3 Tour heads combo with P heads and let the winners be bagged in 21.

Putter: last 3 seasons with a Machine M1A raw but just recently received a TM Spider CS that is the easiest putter I have ever rolled.

So driver will be either PXG Proto+ or SIM Max 2 TBD for 21. Hybrids are set PXG 0317Gen 2’s for 21. Irons will either be 921F/T20 wedges or going PXG 0311T/P combo with PXG Forged wedges for 21. Putter will be the Spider CS for 21. Ball will be Snell MTB Black for 21. Once this pass is done I’m prolly going to be good for 22 as well. It’s fun but time consuming on custom builds, wait times, ranges, launch monitor, and rounds to get dialed in as we all know and glad when it’s only playing and practicing for score not worrying about what’s in the bag. Lol

One, honestly just one...I feel a little like a failure. In all honesty though, I got a new set of irons at the end of 2019 and a new driver pretty much at the start of 2019 and then with one thing or another hardly actually used it so cannot justify a new one.

I will be changing my TS3 driver and 3 wood for TSI3 versions and going 13.5 in the 3 wood, but I am going to check out the Ping G425 max before finally deciding given the fantastic reviews its getting

I am currently gaming T100S irons with Modus 130 shafts and not entirely happy with them, so I will probably buy a set of 620mb's with PX6.0 (my fav and fitted for shaft). Easy purchase as this is the off the shelf and stock option. I like to use blades for practice, but these might replace the T100S irons if they go well.

Driver thru 5 wood haven't changed and likely won't. Irons I just don't know yet. Have a set of Nike Vapor Fly irons I will have a go with as soon as weather allows. Otherwise J36's. Wedges are pretty much set and putter could be anything at this point. Either a Ping Sigma G Craz e or one of the TP Mills or Slazenger Kirk Curries I have. Winter putter trials.

My wife has no problem with my equipment purchases as I'm pretty good about tempering cost with trades. It's a hobby.

Possible change in drivers: Looking hard at TSi3 and G425 lineup.

Putters are always in flux, but I doubt there will be a new purchase ( plenty in the rack ). Although, a Las Vegas H7 has intrigued me. But I know I'm not a mallet guy and it's causing mental anguish!
