Dormie Club accessibility

Anyone know the rules around getting onto the Dormie Club in Pinehurst? I know it's been public the past few years but is planning on going fully private sometime this year. I know they still accept some outside play (I think mostly through packages like Tobacco Road or Talamore), but is there a way to play without a package? There's nowhere online I can find to just book a tee time. It it worth calling or sending an email?

Went private a while back, only way I've found is calling Talamore and having them book you a tee time. We did it last summer and didn't have to do a package of any kind, they booked us a single tee time.

They went private Jan 1, 2020 except for if you book through Talamore or Tobacco Road. But i believe even that is ending this year.

It ends May this year. You can still book through both parties noted above.

You can book through Talamore. They normally only show package deals, but if you call they can get you rates for 18 holes only. If you call the Pine Crest Inn they can set up tee times as well.

As mentioned above, Dormie is due to go completely private in May 2021. I'd highly recommend taking a trip to play it beforehand. The folks at Talamore are very friendly and responsive when calling them to ask for times to play Dormie. I'd suggest planning well in advance - I think Dormie only allows 20 outside players a day (might be 20 outside players on just certain days and none on others, not sure)

Also, Club is closed on Tuesday. I never had any luck with getting a weekend time, but if you're willing to play Monday or Wednesday shouldn't be too hard.

FYI I thought the staff was super friendly and accommodating. When I booked through Talamore, payment is required up front and then they email you "vouchers" which are used for the round. One of the three players in our group couldn't go, and I assumed we wouldn't get a refund or be able to play that round on another date (I didn't ask and wasn't planning to)

We were down the first hole in the fairway and one of the golf shop staff members drove down and presented me with a new voucher for that round - which I need to use because it expires when they go private.
