Start of the year will be with 2 drivers but with a couple shafts for each to play around with.  First is a Ping G410+ 9* with a TPO 6TX or a KK XT 60X.  Second will be a TSi3 10* with either a BB6X or a Ventus Velo Black 6X.

Doubt it would be a winner take all as I keep multiple bags, but would likely sell the shafts that don't make the cut.  Playing with things is fun.

What's In The Ping Moonlite:
Ping Rapture '14 13*
Ping Rapture DI 18*
Titleist 690.CB 4/6/8/PW

I have a Rapture in my set back in the UK. Think it's a 9* loft, which is a little low for me, and an Aldila VS Proto shaft. Not as easy to hit as my newer Ping driver, but a beast when hit well.

I got a great deal on my r1s from 2nd swing. It was in the clearance bin for $20, granted this was pre covid price increases.

It had a fair amount of sky marks, and someone put a lot of work into it with the aftermarket shaft they put in.

2nd swing actually has good deals on used clubs? Everything I have seen used from them is just as expensive as new!

TSi3 Motore X Jumbomax tour small.  Ping G400 Ventus Velocore Blue 6x Jumbomax tour small is its backup.

Historically a ping dude because they are great and they are left-hand friendly and I try to reward that.  My history is something like 975D, Tisi, G15, G400, G410.  I like the G400 better than the G410.  I recognize it is not as long as the G410, but it is the 2nd best driver I have ever hit, only very narrowly behind the TSi3.  Titleist really got that one right.  I think the G400 might be the best driver they have made, at least in my mind.

I rebuilt my entire bag last offseason and spent roughly $300.00 Granted it helped that I was going from some Wilson k-28's from the 70's, I had purchased a Taylormade r7 superquad from them, was just slightly leary of having a driver that old, I was just looking at m2-m3's for shiggles, and the salesperson got that Taylormade r1s out of the clearance bin just to try. I think the main reason it was so cheap was the condition it was in (a lot of paint chips), and the amount of alterations to it.

I tried to remove the 1 gram screw on the heel side and the bolt sheared, I could see some blue substance around the hole. Only thing I can think of was because they had a very light, short shaft in it they added something, possibly hotmelt into the head to help swing weight, sound, possibly spin. It's hard to tell. One thing that helped me upgrade for the deals I got is age of clubs, luck, and oftentimes going for more of the bang for your buck OEM's.
