Why am I seeing alot of red stroke lab shafts on tour?

I have my eyes on a 2 ball ten with the red stroke lab shafts. I'm noticing a bunch of these on tour this year vs the black shaft last year that alot of guys didn't use. Is their more of a difference than just cosmetics? Overall from what I gather the black shaft last year wasn't a huge splash.

I think it's because the new White Hot OGs come with the red stroke lab shaft... gotta make the general public think they are buying the same putters the pros use

The 2-ball Ten they’re going to sell has a gray shaft, not red. Seems weird to me they wouldn’t make it red too.

Supposedly they tweaked it for weight and stiffness.

Agreed but when it comes to putter, the money stick, these guys won't play anything unless they like it.

The red SL shaft has a different distribution of steel and graphite from the previous black one.  The red is because it looks awesome.  It’s also brilliant marketing; standing out on tv in a crowded field isn’t easy.

FWIW, the red shaft putters, at least in the plumbers neck 1ws, are 10gr heavier in the head than the steel shaft putter, both in the retail version. 
This is the putter I’m interested in for the simple reasons that it has the toe-hang I want, 35*, and the head weight I want, 360gr
Also, I like it.

No idea but I am curious to see how it is! I have a custom OG 2 Ball stroke lab shaft on the way and very curious to feel what it is like!

Gotta say the feel of the putter is really nice, after trying it out at GG.  If you ever hit the original white hot, it is firmer than OWorks, which I think is too soft. The new OG is the same as the original and that clinches it for me.  Gonna get it with the red shaft ($50 more than the steel). It comes with an optional super stroke slim 3.0 at no extra cost.  A few glasses of Valentine’s Day wine and it’s on the way, with my wife’s consent!

I tried the new White Hot OG # 1 , Great Feel and Response like the Original. I’m hoping they will add a white hot # 2 like Stricker uses . Or a different neck option on # 1 and 1w , that flare neck that they used on White Hot Pro # 3 , and Versa #6 . I never really liked the Plumbers neck .
