Golf Channel rescues homeless man; immediately hires him for Pre-Game Show

Sporting long, unwashed greasy hair and a week of unruly stubble, the sad sack of human was tossed a sportcoat and pointed to the anchor desk where he was told to sit next to Rich Lerner and "talk golf."  At least that's the first thought which occurs when spotting Stuart Appleby who, apparently, was the only former touring professional curled up under a bridge near a Stamford, Connecticut homeless encampment.  Seriously: we Seattleites believe in free expression and "live your own life," but come on... this is coast-to-coast TELEVISION, folks!

At first I didn't recognize who it was...my immediate thought it was some musician they were interviewing. Finally figured out it was Stuart Appleby. That look isn't very flattering IMO, but if he likes it that's all that matters.

Except that was Robert Allenby.  They are both Australian, so you got that going for you.

The bit they just did about him playing in the snow in a tank top was too much for me. At this point NBC is trolling the viewers.

Hair was washed and combed, had a bit of shadow, big deal. He's a super good guy and actually I think he would be great for GC.
