Ventus blue vs pro 2.0 TS

Any comparisons out there. Gaming a 7x TS PRO 2.0 at 44.5” and this is may be too stout for me. Prior was a pro 63 XS which was ok but my dispersion was out to lunch. Would a shorter blue 6x give me the best of both worlds? I am a high spin player with SS between 100-110 on good days.

So a couple of things here. The 7x 2.0 pro spec is 79g which is pretty heavy for a 7 weight class shaft. If you went to a 7x ventus blue (77.5g) i think it would be just a touch more stout than the pro you have now. Definitely  in the tip, but pretty similar in the handle.

If you went to 6x ventus blue (65g), it would feel softer for sure, especially in the handle/mid, which you may like but the weight drop may not be what you need (as mentioned by dispersion issues above.

i honestly believe the ventus red may be closest to the pro 2.0 in terms of profile and feel. The 7x (72g) may be the ticket. Slightly stiffer in the handle, but slightly softer in the tip. A little bit higher torque as well (2.7 in the pro ts, vs 3.1 in the ventus) which should “feel” a little smoother.

Also dont be afraid at looking at 7 weight classes in “stiff” flex either.

Thanks for that. The dispersion issue I think I could help by playing this at 44.5” instead of 45.5”. Ultimately I think it may be better to test these on a launch monitor before jumping in.

That very well could be as well. Have you checked swingweight? The pro 2.0 is “higher balance point” so you may need to add a little headweight to get it up to the right swingweight. A little extra headweight would soften it up just a tad too.

Ya. So my original weight for my SZ with the 63 pro shaft turned out wasnt std. it had a 3g back weight instead of 12g. Not knowing that until I messed with the weights I was planning on just adding a 17g weight and removing the 12. I now have both on there plus now a 4g front weight. Prior to adding the weight I couldn’t feel the head at all.

@Red4282, looking at @Fujikura Golf profiles, the blue actually seems more similar. Is that the case? I know the weight and CB may throw things off from a 7x TS and a ventus blue 6x  BF6266EF-FB4B-4155-9263-112196761CF3.jpeg.d3c5128c3ddfe1437188a2862f58d937.jpeg4BC7FB73-EB8C-4568-AD75-0423F237A6AD.jpeg.2529f720fe293a02fbf32d2897bc5e28.jpeg

Those are very vague and can be misleading. The ventus blue profile might be the most disputed golfwrx thing going right now. Alot compare it to a typical blueboard profile, but many including myself, felt it was very “loose” in the butt, which isnt typical of blueboards. It reminded me of a whiteboard profile to be honest.  I will say the 6x vs 7x is a different animal. The ventus red would be more along the lines of a blue profile *in my opinion*. I think the red would launch just a tad higher then the 2.0. The 7x blue would be lower, and the 6x would be pretty close. Id try them out before you make a decision though, feel is very subjective.
