Like you, I went through a fitting recently too and came away more than impressed with the feel of the $ Taper Lites in stiff flex.  I know they are not the exact same shafts, but some similar characteristics.  I tested both and for me, the $ Lites were just noticeably smoother feeling for me. I went through a lot of shafts (both steel and graphite) and these were $ for me...pun intended.  I really like the KBS shafts.  Enjoy them!

I enjoyed the C-Taper Lites when I had them in my Pxg’s a few years back, but those shafts for me always left my elbows and wrists sore compared to other shafts. Besides that they were a really good fit for me.

Another thumbs up and highly recommend vote from me too! Got fit into them a few years ago and decided to go with them again for my latest set. Lightweight, sleek looking, super firm and stable where it needs to be, while easier to launch so the best of all worlds in my opinion. Goodluck!

I really like the C-Taper Lites Stiff. I was fit into them a few years ago and continue to play them. They knocked a little height and  spin off for me. I have them in Mizuno and now ZX7’s. Then are very straight and I enjoy the feel. The weight is a sweet spot especially since I play longer than standard length.

FWIW...I find the KBS Tour to be a good match in the wedges should you go C-Taper Lite in the irons.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like lots of positives here. Anyone know if you can custom order a set of zx5’s with the black edition? Seems like everywhere I look only has the regular finish.

Not sure what you can order, but I have heard bad things about the durability of the black.

By durability, you mean that the PVD on the shaft might show some wear after time? My buddy has had his for 2 seasons and they look great. With a 15 way divider bag and proper care, they will wear fine. PVD is much better than the old style black shafts.

Just got fit into these shaft and because I have no self control, bought them right away. For those who have these, what are your thoughts on the look of the shaft? Does it bother you at all?

I have always played "traditional" looking shafts and not sure how I feel about this one.

Anyone out there game the c-taper lites? Was recently fit into the stiff flex for my my new irons, and before I pulled the trigger I was hoping to get some feedback on how others have found their performance.

I know I’m late but I love my C-Tapers

I didn’t like the look at my fitting, but I went to an local pro shop and hit them again. They look great, and on the range today they were really great at not reflecting the sun into your face. The feel ok them was great. I have no regrets about my order. Ball flight was very high and carry was consistent

What wedge shafts are you C taper Lite gamers playing? I know the above poster mentioned kbs tour. I’m awaiting my Pxg with c taper lite combo any day....I hope. Just need to decide on wedge shafts

I was the poster above that said KBS Tour. When fit into the CTL by Club Champion they matched them with the Tour V Wedge for me. I didn’t care for the Tour V Wedge but it’s another option to try.

Yes kbs rep recommended the tour v also. Trying to figure it out vs spending $150 at true spec for the proper fitting. Maybe I should just bite the bullet

My club champion fitting was going to put the CTL in the zipcore wedges. I ordered wedges yet but not sure if I would go that direction.

    • Sony Open Pics from January 11, 2022 Part 1
I was able to get out to the Sony Open today to take a few pics.  I guess due to Covid precautions they kept the spectators pretty far from the players.  Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. Hopefully they'll ease up on the ropes and I'll be able to get more pics tomorrow!
