There's actually a few supply chain issues going on in the world currently, maybe Srixon is being impacted by those believe it or not.

I'm glad you're not running my business if you think you can never have too much inventory.🙄

Pretty sure I read on Wrx that only Ping has supply problems. 🤣

I wouldn’t say, embarrassing, and rather a huge ‘win’ for Srixon.  But if they cannot restock timely, and thus lose out on a number of sales, and piss off customers waiting on orders or to make orders, it could be a pyrrhic victory.

So the ZX5s and the ZX7s are both sold out on their website -- they only came out Jan14th..

Is this normal? Slightly embarrassing for Srixon??

or the contrarian view that there is such a high demand for them (Brooks affect??)

Just more intrigued than anything else.

Embarrassing for you ——- this has been talked about over and over on here for days, lol.

I’m sure Srixon is hating that demand is so great and everybody is talking about their irons, lol.

Better to sell out than have last year's gear sitting on a shelf.

Much better from a revenue perspective to have stuff sitting on shelves..

It costs them probably 20 bucks to make a club,, then they sell it for 160 a club.. Wouldn't you rather have a chance at $160 and miss out.. then to save 20 bucks..

Having too much inventory is never a problem -- having not enough after one single month is a sign that a company needs better management and forecasting

They may have product sitting on a ship waiting to be unloaded.  As of last week there were 80 cargo ships off the coast of Long Beach waiting to be unloaded.  Over 500 longshoremen have been hit with COVID.  As someone said they are not the only ones in town being impacted by this issue.  Hope they get back in stock soon as their line up this year is truly special

Sorry about being a bit late to the party — this may come as a surprise, but not a lot of people check the forums every couple of hours

Or read up on why manufacturers have supply side issues any time in the past 11 months?

No biggie, but you keep going on about their mismanagement from your point of view, knowing nothing about their business (and yep, there are tons of businesses out there for which excess inventory becomes a very costly problem), but plenty of reasons they may be out of stock for a time and even unexpectedly.

It will likely sort itself out pretty quickly . . . . or not.

It’s not just Srixon, look on almost all manufacturers websites and their out of stock on various items. I know Cobra is having this issue as I’ve been watching for a few items. Just really sucks how COVID has hit basically everyone.

Some people do scroll through more than one page, and use the search function as well.

Seems you're forgetting about the COVID thing.

For making golf club components, you have a number of upstream supply chain partners: the steel foundry (or foundries) that produce the heads, the shaft fabricator, the grip fabricator, etc. Depending on where the factories were located, they may have had to shut down or curtail work hours due to COVID restrictions.

Then there's the assembly sites of the clubs where all these components come together. And once the clubs are assembled, possible delivery glitches...

Note: Want to know the source(s) of your new golf club? Take a look at the country of origin tag. Generally there's a shaft tag on each long club or wedge, and for set of irons often on the 7 iron. Tag will tell you source of head and shaft, and where it was assembled.

Anyone have a Srixon tag they can share with us?

Except that their is perfectly good gear still on the shelves is part of the consumerism problem...

My current gamers are '15 that I bought last year and my "new" irons are '11. I would rather get $1200 irons for $150 than new $500+ irons. But that's just me.

Obviously you have never looked at Nike SB shoes. You are lucky if you can buy a pair at MSRP. That has been working for them for over a decade and you don't see them increasing output anytime soon. But hey, that isn't everyone's idea of a smart business model.

Look at the C8 Corvette. Either pay up or wait 18 months.

I recently inquired about delays, as it took awhile for ZX Utility to arrive and my Cleveland Tour Racks are still "processing" despite ordering it first week of Jan.

They told me they were still waiting on grips and shafts, as they have experienced supply chain issues.

My wedges are expected back in stock by end of March they said, with expected shipping around second week of April.

With Preorders for the new ZX4s starting in March, I think by then hopefully they will be stocked up again.

It's a combination of increased demand and Covid-19 supply chain issue. Every OEM is going through this supply chain issue currently. Srixon rep has confirmed that it will take anywhere between 8-10 weeks (conservatively) if you were to order it today.

It's about time Srixon gets some recognition as it has been as popular as other Japanese brands like Mizuno here in Asia. Western countries are finally realizing the quality and performance of Srixon. I reckon give it a few more years and they will be similar status as Mizuno in the iron category. (Opposite feel to Mizuno so different target market. Srixon forging are more dense and heavy/solid feel at impact vs Mizuno more soft to mushy in a good way.)

I am sure that's the case with many companies and their best products, including golf OEM's.  COVID-19 has done a great deal of harm to the Supply-Chain, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that orders are sold out.

And to put things into perspective. A new Santa Cruz bike is about 14 months wait due to parts availability. So 8-10 weeks doesn't sound so bad.
