There is no 905 C, there are 2 versions each of the 905 T and S. Also the pic of Ernie with the NC putter was old

"there are 2 versions each of the 905 T and S"

What does that mean?

It means there is a "dot" version. The normal 905T does not have a dot between the words "Pro Titanium" and 905T on the sole. Then there is a version that does have the extra dot in there. You can go to the USGA website and look at pictures on list of conforming drivers.

That is the great thing about that site, you can go there and answer the question on this thread. If there were a 905C, it is not in fact being used by any pros on tour. If they were using it on tour Titleist would have to submit one for testing and listing on the conforming list, right?

I REALLY hope that this is TRUE!!!

It would follow the trend that they started waaaay back in the day when the "975R" and "D" drivers came out. They have just about done the same thing every time they release something new.

Makes perfect sense to me. A deeper face model (a big head-ed "S" to keep the spin down for players like DLIII, and a big head-ed "T" that has "normal" spin and a little extra lift for guys like Ernie!

I'll bet that the S's and the T's won't be around much for very much longer if they have "fixed" the "problems" (like the duller feel and the sound) that this current line of the 905 series of drivers has.

I've heard that the new "R" is feels and sounds more like the "983 K"! :cheesy:

Now if they will just release that new fairway wood!!! :)

I have heard from 2 reliable sources that there is another version of the 905R being tested on the tour. A deeper faced version. Still in development.

Ti preferred materials, not composite. Sounds good, I hope they are successful.

905 has not done well at retail.

Right!

Even thought we sold a few, everyone wants a 460-ish cc head. People are not interrested in the "story" about how the "players" like the smaller headed drivers around the 400cc mark. (BS!!)

Titleist, even though they offer a 460cc head in the COBRA line, they had to offer one in the Titleist line as well. People link the 460cc head to power and the Cobra heads are all CLOSED at address! In effect, Titleist has been telling people that if they are a good player and want a "bigger" head, they should look at the Cobras, or go elsewhere. It's like telling people, "We don't want your business." (Stupid!)
