That is inaccurate. He also has never played 7.0 in his wedges. It’s was always either 6.5 or 6.0 depending on what he used in his irons.

He was back to PX today.

Rory's swing has changed and is so off plane compared to what it was when he was winning majors. Don't think it's a shaft issue. Too much weight lifting and working out with his buddy Tiger. He also has a baby now which has probably has changed things with his golf routine. Hopefully he can turn it around soon golf needs Rory, Spieth, Koepka back up there.

That’s probably true but most of his wins have come with him playing 7.0’s. He last played 6.5’s in his irons in 2011

Not only was he back to project x but he was back to p730. Definitely just trying to find what works best and go back to the original before changing the clubs again - or something like that.

I'd imagine it is more a case of "very different" than better or worse. The P730 is a super traditional blade with a more heel side CG and shorter blade length. The new P7MB looks like is is designed to have a lot more mass in the toe and thus a pretty different CG. He certainly has not been playing great with them though.

It’s kind of like when the Vapor Pro blade came out. Rory switched over to it than shortly thereafter went back to the VR Pro II. The Vapor Pro was similar in design to the 7MB  if I recall, shift the cg away from the heel.
