Grip Change and Putter

I was recently fit on sam putt lab and noticed my strike was very erratic. I changed my grip to help with hitting the center every time and now I push my putts. I currently have a spider tour double bend. Thought on going to a putter with more toe hang?

What is your current club path like now with your new grip?

I feel like I am more arc rather than a back and through

You should try out a heel-shafted putter, like a GoLo 3 mid-mallet.  That will give you plenty of toe hang and an all-round great putter with good forgiveness

I agree you should try out as many options as possible. Personally I have about 10 putters around the house with various toe hang options to test. But if you are going for more toe hang, switching from a face balanced mallet to a heavy toe hang half moon mallet might be a bit drastic. There are many options in between. Find some styles that catch your eye and google the toe hang to see if it's what you want.

Obviously, there is no putter made that will correct a poor stroke.  Nearly any technique or (reasonably made) putter can be made to work provided the golfer has completed the needed 10,000 hours of training and possess sufficient confidence.

 

Look at the past: Bobby Locke hooked every putt, won many times. Jack Nicklaus wore his glove when putting and changed putters frequently, won many times. 

 

Spending $$ on a new shiny putter may satisfy some internal ego stroking, but can not guarantee more putts potted.
