USPS

Anyone having trouble with USPS lately? I bought a putter cover from a guy in IOWA, I am in Virginia. It was shipped Feb 1st, and so far has been to Guam and Hawaii.

Agreed. Certainly taking longer than previous times...and their base load is certainly up.

Was the seller really a Chinese company that listed Iowa as the location so Americans wouldn't be afraid to buy it?

I am in Maine. I pulled up an image of your package and it is addressed correctly. Machines sort most of the packages and sometimes if the zip-code is unclear it can cause a misread, but there is no reason this package should have ended up In freaking Guam other than incompetence. I have never seen that before in my many years working for USPS, and I have seen a lot. I apologize for your inconvenience.

Thanks for checking. Have fun in Florida. Was in Maine a couple of summers ago, beautiful. Also have been there in winter for work, below 20 degrees the whole time I was there.

I’m located in Pennsylvania, bought something coming from Maine.  Package went from Maine to Hawaii before going back to Maine then finally to me.  Took almost 2 weeks total but it eventually got to me.

Mine is 19 days out, last know place Hawaii on the 15th. A member here who works for USPS told me machines scan the packages, and sometimes the zip code is hard to read. He was able to pull the shipping label, and the label was perfect. He said it was pure negligence on someones part.

Bought a set of irons that left Austin, TX the morning of 2/13 with projected delivery of 2/17 and have not yet been scanned again anywhere since.

I really haven't had issues with USPS, so I'm lucky that in multiple purchases they've arrived here quickly.

 

Bought something off a site sponsor here this week, shipped USPS. It arrived in less than 48 hours, from southern NV to northern CA.

I shipped a putter and a wedge to 2 different locations in Colorado from Massachusetts a week ago Saturday the 13th. Last scan on both was the 16th. Still not there yet. Shipped a package same day to Fort Worth 2-3 day—just got there today.

I’m in VA too and here lately when I take something to the post office it sits on average of 4 days before they even scan it and it starts to move.  Just horrible!

I posted this in the other thread, but I moved all my shipping to UPS and if there’s any indication that online purchases are coming via USPS I won’t buy. I had a few buyers request USPS to save money and I ask them to reconsider as the cost difference has shrunk.

Putter cover is still 23 days out, last known location Hawaii via Guam to get from Iowa to Va. Bought a putter from a seller in upstate NY, received it in 2 days.

I live in Colorado Springs and sad to say uSPS service sucks in this area - this was prior to pandemic too!
