Well they are nice and pretty but have too much shaft for me to hit anymore. Yep i am progressing played in the scramble 2 weeks ago with no pain in the back. Have not played since due to weather. Was going to do 9 today but our course was jammed and the range was closed so I worked on short game. Yep as bad as I hate it the graphite shafts are doing me well lighter and no shock to the back. Talked to the Srixon rep today and he is a good fitter in his own right and he said I made a good move going to the Steelfiber graphites

The "more WRX" comment is mainly a joke, but also an aside to my utter and complete confusion concerning the culture around here. I've been on here for ten years and still can't quite figure it out. The reason that I asked the question is that it sorta caught me by surprise as I consider you to be one of the nicest most down to earth guys on the board, and I'd be honored to be in your group if ya chose to have me any day & any place!!

 

I can totally relate to the "new clubs" clique, even though I only Played 3 sets of Mizzy irons and 1 set of Staffs across 26+ years as a Plus along with 3 drivers during that same period. Most of the guys salivating over every new release s*ck or are mid level caps, so not being able to get their pleasures from pars, birdies & eagles🦅, they get em from new and shiny sticks. Hey, that's cool, whatever makes em happy🤷🏼‍♂️

 

Regarding Tiger, yah, I've often wondered if they banned any and all Tiger threads on the board how many guys would just drop away and never return, lolol. Maddie thinks that I should be thinkin of something more relevant and that I've got too much time on my hands, lol. She probably has a point🤪

 

As far as getting yelled at, f*ck them!!

 

Seriously, what I have always liked about you is that you carry yourself with a quiet confidence and you state your opinion or thoughts in an engaging articulate manner and you don't troll, flame or make a big deal out of whatever topic that you are discussing. I'm sure that anyone that has exchanged with you on the board would agree with me and I would say that the biggest reason that you would not be named, if there even is a reason, is that you are reserved, low keyed and you really do not post that often compared to a lot of guys, myself included. 
 

If you look at both my description and impression of you it is one of a Gentleman, someone who handles themself with class, and only speaks/posts when they have something to say. 
 

Trust me Brotha, having been in this game for over half of a century, you'd be welcome into any group that I've ever been associated with🤙

I forgot to say that I wouldn't play with any of the moderators. They wouldn't let me talk during the round and they would be like utterly humorless. I must be on some moderation watchlist, for reasons that I've not been made aware of. For example, in the recent Tiger rollover crash thread (now that's an ironic name in itself), all kinds of speculative nonsense was allowed to be posted.

 

I posted that I speculated that maybe he swerved to avoid a pile of speculation that had been dumped on the roadway...

 

It was not allowed to be posted. My humor is not all that esoteric, yet the thread is riddled with serious speculative nonsense about drugs, cell phones, etc.

Was thinking of you this morning while perusing one of the Srixon threads -- could be an opportunity in a few months -- I'll PM at some point!

 

There's an awesome thread in the making of @MtlJeff on guitar solos in 19th hole (apparently he will be buying a plane ticket in a few days to come punch me, well it's not official yet, I haven't declared a personal best) ---- but it's the same dilemma --- been listening rock and roll, bluegrass, jazz since I was in junior high and then as decades go by I go back and "discover" artists and songs I missed and so on, and I still am --- trying to narrow down favorite guitar solos is virtually impossible and it made me think of this thread - so many folks to meet, so little time!

 

LOL, sometimes I roll into the golf course parking lot early in the morning in my Jeep and well, tunes might be a little loud, but I park as far away as possible and just let it blare while I get "organized".  A couple of summers ago, one of the old retired guys who is a friend walked over as I was headed to the practice area and said with real disgust (but a smile), "Never knew you were a rocker!"  He still flips me _____ about it, lol.
