Has anybody use this that has also used superspeed in the past? I can get the superspeed plus the PRGR radar for the same price as just the stack with no radar. Wondering if it’s worth paying more or not?

I have. The App included is like having a personal trainer motivating you. It’s Fantastic. It’s what makes the Stack valuable.

I think it’s only manual.  I haven’t seen a way to do it via voice.  But I haven’t watched all the tutorial videos yet.

I would be willing to make a good deal on a Rapsodo for you.  But as mentioned above by xman it doesn’t record swings only.

If I had not ordered a Garmin R10. I would have gone PRGR as it offers other data points over swing radar.

Appreciate it. Getting the PRGR to start and then I'll probably pick this up later.

Can use voice! During a training session there are two buttons to click on bottom right one to "dictate" and one to hear the app

Finished my baseline, I have no idea where they came up with ESpeed.

From the website Espeed is:

TheStack's shaft length is equivalent to that of a typical hybrid club, but most golfers are familiar with and care about their driver speed. TheStack’s eSpeed (Equivalent Driver Speed) provides a reasonable approximation of your driver clubhead speed based on the length differential between TheStack and your driver.

I have both. Honestly I didn't give speed sticks enough of a chance. I will happily sell them for 180 😉

Let me say that The Stack System works. In 4 sessions over the last week my flat out max speed has increased 6 MPH. My stack swing speed has jumped from 107 to 112 and I would assume if I did a baseline test again my top end swing speed with a driver would have jumped from 120 to 125.

Up 12 MPH since starting this system. I am starting to level off but still getting new personal best swings. With the 195g I hit 126 the other day which equates to 131MPH

Like others have said, the App is really what separates the Stack System from everything else. I completed the “Foundation” program and am a few sessions into round 2 of Foundation, as that’s what the App recommended. I’ve gained back the speed I had lost over past year and a half, and picked up a few more mph. Started at 107 swing speed and am up to 114-115 mph (previous peak ss was 110-111). It’s obviously a bit pricey but people are paying $200 just for 3 SuperSpeed sticks. I def like the 1 club with ability to change weights, it’s a well made product overall. Anybody on the fence deciding to purchase or not, if results are what your after then it’s an easy yes.

For those who measure gains using this (or any) swing speed device.  Do you measure gains when hitting a ball (both baseline and improvement)?  Or are the increases from max effort swings (which I would not likely ever do on the course)?  There may be a correlation between increases in max effort swings and actual on the course swings, but was just wondering how most measure this?

Mine’s coming Tuesday. Don’t have a LM yet but might order the PRGR. Anyone change the grip? Might do that when it comes.

Also, this is from the site

  • Includes Single User License - Enables training and tracking for up to five local (i.e. family) users under one login.
  • Multi-user Coaches License license sold separately.
  • 2-year Single User License, accessible on iOS.

Does this mean we have to pay again after two years?

Its definitely important to go to the range with a radar and work on incorporating the speed while hitting the ball

Did the baseline today with a PRGR. Do I want to set the PRGR to “driver” or does it not matter?

Also, I don’t swing nearly as hard as I thought.

Im not sure if it matters but I do set my PRGR to driver just in case. And agreed, most people dont swing as fast as they think they can haha

I was worried about future cost of this as the software licence only lasts for 2 years, so I emailed them today and received fast response, see below.

Great question. We haven't finalized pricing quite yet, but it will be no less than $100 / year ~ and no more than $150/year.  Most likely it will be priced around $10/mo.

Regards
The Stack System

This is a deal breaker for me, who wants to be tied to an annual subscription. The resale value of this is also reduced if choose to sell this, as your basically selling a plastic stick with some weights. I doubt people would want to pay more than $100 second hand.

I will stick with super swing speed sticks, they worked for Mickleson, so can’t be that bad.

Have you used the stack?

The power in the system IMO (and I’m only in foundations training right now) is in the app. Not the hardware. (Which is also great)

And I would gladly pay $120 a year for the app alone.

I really don’t think it matters for swingspeed.  However, a little tip, I found the most accurate yardages on all clubs to be the driver setting.  YMMV!

In the protocols, do you have to swing both ways similar to Super Speed?

Nope

I'm joining the party.  Just got mine in yesterday.  Going to try and track my progress in this thread.  Seeing other people's results here is encouraging.  Using the 2021 PRGR black.  For reference, I'm 37 y.o. and feel like I've lost some distance in the past couple of years.  Fingers crossed for some nice progress.

Is it overkill to do Super Speed and The Stack System simultaneously? I guess it won't differentiate if one is better than the other.

I do Super Speed on M/W/F and The Stack on T/Th/F.

I am two weeks into Super Speed and my number keep going up. I've done the Stack for two sessions and numbers keep getting higher.

Should I do both on the same day and take a day of rest in between training sessions for the sake of recovery?
